So I finally decided to get the Base stations off my bookshelf and give them a proper and more secure mount. Instead of drilling holes into the wall I went with these:

The extension rod will offer very good stability for mounting the base station. And the cost is relatively low comparing to the Tri-pod mounting.
I will report back how the mounting goes when I receive them.
