Yeah, Forte drivers are quite old but so far i didn't really have any problems with it. Wouldn't mind an update though, there is always room for improvements.

Its a creative "profesional" sub-brand.
Never had driver issues.
I really mean NEVER.

but I'm always up to date with the drivers. I bought the card several years ago. Maybe like 5 years. So I had it on my XP, my Vista, and my Seven. No wait, I didn't jump to Seven yet :) but I had it installed once. No problem with the card, and still works.

I do video production (analog captures from long plays, cassettes, and video cassettes all formats). I also compose music.

Music reproduction on the E-MU is THE THING, my hi fi stereo system is happy. So Iam. Not so good for gaming I'm affraid
