Ok how about a 2900 gt this has a nice price tag I noticed that some of the 2600 xt's have ddr4 would this be an advantage or will these bottle neck under a 939?

pfft waste of money, even the 2900 pro is a waste of money now and its miles better than the 2900gt because now the hd3850 and hd3870 are out

you can get a hd3850 for about £100 that wouldnt be much of a bottleneck i really dont see why that cpu would bottle a hd3850 really, tbh you might want a 3850 because its just slightly about a 2900xt id overclock it tho

ddr 4 is just faster memory if there's not a 256 bus then the gddr 4 memory is useless it makes good for higher res, the 2600xt is 128 bus and a 8600gto is way better than a 2600xt but there is the hd 3850 which is miles better than the 8600gto

Not my main pc so it will be more than likely sold to someone who wont need a super fast card but I don't like selling a pc that runs good at all speeds fact is I save 75 bucks if I run a 2900 gt insted of a 3850. But I do see your point all of these have 256 ram so the gpu is the advantage though I thought the 3850 and the 2900 share the same gpu:confused:
well if the new 8800 gts is under 400 dollars its going to get this 8800 gt oc2 anyway we shall see what tomorrow brings

hmmn id just get a 3850 as the 2900gt is just a cut down underperformed 2900pro and it gets beat in ever way by a 3850

a 3850 has a different gpu but its really just a cut down version of the hd3870 its got low power consumption and it runs cool, its slower and has less memory than a 3870 but thats all

    3870 or the 8800GT. From a 7900GTOCSC ( Only 256meg ) to the 2900XT the 2900 rips the 7900GTOCSC too bits.
