Places like Walmart, Compusa, and other places should carry AO games IF they carry rated R movies. Rated R means 18 and up, so in other words if they wanted to be fair about this whole thing they should only carry NC-17 and down movies.

Games like Fear, Doom 3, GTA should of all gotten the rating AO IMO. But because companies will not carry AO games the people that rate games are forced to give the M rating to work with the whole industry.

Giving companies the right to sell AO games would help a lot. A lot of issues would be solved if they were able to make and sell AO on the market easily. Also this might please people like Mr. Jack who clearly doesn't agree with the M rating 17 and up.

I can understand GTA, but why Fear and especially why Doom 3?? Manhunt should have gotten one IMO.

Doom 3 for the satanic influence and killing people realistically. If you thinks kids should be able to get that game that's a little messed up.

Fear because of the blood and gore, and killing people realistically.

There are many other games that have the same effects...what about Counter Strike? That one is pretty intense, with the terrorists and all.

True, but it's not as realistic with the blood and gore.

Well there are some things in that I've just recently noticed in some games that make me wonder...for instance, I was playing Company of Heroes using some artillery :) when the Axis soldiers started exploding and the body parts went flying...woah woah is what I said.

I know they are simply games, and so should everybody else. People who take them so seriously have problems already.

i've got to agree when i was younger playing games i was playing sonic, super mario, racing games, tony hawk (alot), i mean granted once in a while i got games like resident evil and such but i love mystery games horror or not, i do think todays kids are completely F@#ked up i mean...look at them my little brother was killing people in halo 2 at 9 years old, and hes really good at it haha, but the only reason he got it was cause "all his friends got it" so my mother bought it for him, what i dont get tho is the whole age rating system

whats the differnce of 16 to 17

its not more than likely a few months and most kids dont mature til they are in there 20's

i dont get it but yes you do have a point certain games should be certifed adult only,

for example god of war was rated M, and you are naked in bed with 2 chicks and you can press the x button to have sex, and it shows the night stand rocking and than you gotta follow the button patterns to keep him going..so he can you know..do his thing

i think if they were labled AO, parents would be alittle more cautious about what they get there 10 year old kids cause even mature games they don't see that bad

and yes you all say "They are just games people should understand that"

but when your that young some people cant understand that they really cant and start fantasizing about doing it and what not, i do not blame games on school shootings etc i do blame kids cursing there faces off at 10 on games, and kids saying certain game quotes at 10 that are completely inappropriate , things like that, especially if kids have noone to look up to and they look up to themselves they start using games as influences...

From what I've noticed in the M+17's they will sell is that they have adjustible "gore" in the options menu, and usualy boot as tame or midle of the road. AO normaly wont give that option. So Wally World wanting to be family freindly wont sell it, same reason you wont find any cd's that havent been edited for profanity. As for the R movies, yea they are there, but nothing that contains nudity. Gun play and drugs, that's fine, but no skin, that's not family orientated.
