I have an i5 10600k at 4.8ghz on all cores, i want to cool it better, since when it stress test it temps goes beyond normal, i don't wanna spend alot on a cooler since it's only at high usage it can get hot, my current cpu cooler is a scythe fuma 2 and something like a noctua nh-d15 has a hum at some rpm and don't think the single fan version is good enough, be quiet dark rock pro 4 or Be quiet! Pure Loop (i don't like the arctic freezer aio)

Case fan in my thermaltake core x71 artic p14 button rear and 3 in the front, nothing in the top, i prefer silence over 2-3c lower temps and noise, if possible i want to go for 5.0 ghz on all cores

Spend some time reading reviews. A hum from a cooler usually means there is a problem with the fan.

Here's your other option:

I have it myself, top notch fans.

Edit: Since you have a scythe fuma 2 there aren't many much better performing air coolers.
So you want a better cooler for days on out stress testing? LOL

Just test how hot it gets during playing your favorite games, if temps are good enough, just keep what you have, the Scythe Fuma 2 seems to be a good cooler. :)

Not better than the Be quiet dark rock pro 4 that are cheaper

Noise overall the be quiet dark rock pro 4 is better especially at max rpm

If you only play games and not any production workload, the cooler you are using is good enough for 5Ghz/1.35Vcore because the 10600K would only use around 80W during gaming at that clock.

Fuma 2 is a good cooler, but not the quietest for sure.

If you value quiet get the 2 fan D15. 99% of people have no issues with them. Those two videos you posted, are probably due to user error. Who in their right mind installs their air cooler fans in pull?

The first review I looked at said 10600K is 175w @ 5GHz.

That's like when people say 5600X is only a 65w CPU as I look at 120w+ in HWinfo :D

Lol, didn't notice that before .... :kookoo:  :pimp:

Not only would that make the thermals worse, much harder to install as well.

He managed to create performance and installation issues on his own, and then complains online about it not working right lol...

Not 5.0ghz at 1.35 volt im at something like 4.8ghz at 1.215 volt i don't won't it to get to hot when im gaming also summer is on it's way with more influence on the temps from our pc

Did you read my edit?
I like to have low temps even when im gaming 60 c is not a problem at 4.8ghz but 5ghz and 1.300 + voltage is getting to hot, it's already hot at 4.8ghz

Have you tested your CPU temps while ganing?
I think that's more important than checking temps on heavy benchmarking... Unless you plan to run your PC for that 24/7...

That's all the more reason to buy the best cooler you can afford. No one likes to dial back overclocks just because summer is here ;)

So you might have found a limit? And perhaps leave it be?

Or hunt for a new CPU that clocks higher at lower voltage.

Well I run my delided 8700K at 5.1ghz and 1.4Vcore just fine across every game, usual power consumption in game is 60-80W (even with a 3090 pulling massive framerate :D)
Stress testing with P95 is only good for when you are doing video editing or rendering with your PC and not representative of gaming workload (your screenshot show the CPU is pulling 140+W during P95).
Just try 5Ghz/1.33Vcore and see CPU temp in game, I bet the CPU should stay below 70C when coupled with a 1660Super.

Yes i have around 60 c, 5ghz + summer wil increase it, i just wanna make shure i can run my cpu at 5ghz in worst case scenario (under 90 c in the sommer at max load or 60-65c when gaming in the summer and silent, quiet, i always have something running on my secondary monitor like twitch).

I don't want loud fans when gaming but could get something different for the cpu cooler mabye 3 BUT i really like the Kaze Flex PWM Fans on the scythe fuma 2 very low noise and and an even sound, no humming, high pitched sound at any rpm, the fans can compete with all fans even noctua with only a few fans being better mabye something from be quiet, noiseblocker, silverstone ap or what ever is better (might not be as slinet, quiet as the scythe fan)

I don't reject an aio as long as it's got a silenet pump and don't cost a fortune

There is the possibility to change fans since the aio isn't to expensive like the artic freezer aio, it won't be super expensive and you have 2 remember there is 3 fans not 2 which most if not every high end air cooler has

I have though about corsiar aio Corsair Hydro H100x is not that expensive or what ever can be recommended

I found a site stating tdp is 150watt on a scythe fuma 2, isn't that to low for a i5 10600kf at 4.8ghz on all cores ?

Update i bought a kraken x63 and 2 arctic p14 fans in case i need something differenet, should i regred it or is it okay?
