Better fans for Radiators

At the moment I am using Corsair LL12/40 fans for my radiators, but have discovered they do not move much air. I am after changing them to some high static pressure ones like EK vardars. Are these the best choice? I really need them to be able to be switched to Red or be red only. I suppose I would consider non lit fans too as cooling performance is more important. I am pretty sure I can improve my radiators performance with better fans.
My radiators are a EK 360PE and a EK 280CE.

Eh, better fans might make a difference but we are probably talking 1-3c better liquid temps assuming you are running them around the same RPM.

Assuming you need at least 5 that's likely 100+ usd investment. You may be able to get lower noise at the same performance if that matters to you or higher performance at significantly more noise going with 2000+ rpm fans not sure its worth the investment if you already have fans that are working just fine.

Once you get a next gen gpu that will likely consume much more power than your current gpu maybe it might be worth it. I would look into those new Phanteks fans and just ditch the RGB personally..... 140mm fans are a lot tougher though not very many of them have what I would call decent static pressure.... I just typically grab ML140s or Silent wing 3 high speed 140s but someone else might know a better option in that size.

I was looking at a review of fans on TPU and the LL are basically the lowest airflow, so figured I must be able to get slightly better performance with better fans.

Yeah but the actual performance difference isn't that large.... I think where better fans usually make the biggest difference is similar or slightly better performance at lower noise.

We have the same case I've tested with both ML and QL and even though on paper the ML are superior the difference in temps isn't there for GPU/CPU/Ram temps.... Maybe in your configuration it might make a bigger difference but I would only do it if you are getting the best 120mm and best 140mm because at least there isn't anything better to want to upgrade to performance wise.

how much you gain it depends on what the limiter.. coolant flow through the rad or air blowing though the rad..

For radiators you usually want to focus on static pressure, not airflow.

Given similar enough fans from different manufacturers and different models the performance at given rpm is clustered close enough as @oxrufiioxo said above. What you may want to look for is noise (both amount and tone) and whether fan is more biased towards static pressure vs airflow.

EK Vardars are good but also loud at full speed. They are the same type as (or clone of) Gentle Typhoons, along with NF-A12, Thermaltake Toughfan and some others.

I got some Phanteks SK140 3 pack for $50 and my 6800XT idles in the high 20s and the GPU never goes past 50 C using a 420MM Alphacool rad.

I run noctua at 100% and itss not loud at all. U cant dislike the performance of noctua. I tried Phanteks t30 but dont like it. The noise and the mounting is not for me.

I have no RGB, EK vardars and Corsair LL/QLin the same case, the vardars pull, and pull better than the LL's by quite a bit but are a bit noisier, not toooo noisy mind.

My rpm range is going to probably be around 700-1500, i never really have the radiator fans running full speed as most are too noisy full, so CFM around this range is going to be the priority.

Well I am also using the vardars to pull through the same rad a 360PE and I have no regrets, they're only pulling because with no RGB they wouldn't suit the front of my rad, given the red theme.

Mine run upto 1800rpm(varders) though they do enough at lower speeds but I'll get back to you on the typical pace of them.

If you have space for the Phanteks T30's they are the best around. Extra thick so more airflow at a slower speed.

I will actually be switching the bottom radiator for a EK 360 XE 60mm. so top will be a EK 360 PE 45 and bottom will be a EK 360 XE

WOW, I would comment about 140mm fans dont have this curved and long blade but that p14 is the first one I've seen which have this. Even noctua just have those generic old blade style on 140mm

I dont switch that 280mm radiator for 360mm, if you live where those p14 are avaliable or noiseblocker ones I give a try and save money
