BF 1942 DC (lets see all of you)

I see alot of BF2 played and I havent seen one mention of what started that all, BF 1942 DC mod.

So I gotta get a role call of some sort for all the people who played that amazing mod. I remember it being far more popular than the actual game and thats how BF2 came to be. In my mind nothing replaced that game until Battlefield Bad Company for the consoles, I just can't stand maps that adjust sizes by players.

I like to scream across the deserts in my M1A1 looking for people to tear up. And loved flying blackhawks, too bad planes were so godly in that game, I usually just stuck to ground pounding. I gotta toss up a few screens from online out of memory, too much fun playing this game!

I gotta say for it's age, it still doesn't look bad graphics wise, wish there was some more pop still playing this game

I just can't ever get over the fact that it took 3-4 hits to kill an T-80 with an M1. FFS, not much survives one direct hit in combat (tanks, aircraft, transports, ... people). To me, it just seemed like a reskinned BF1942. BF1942 SWoWW2 is probably still my favorite. I love crazy historical weapons you've never heard of. XD

I never played it. Played 1942 once, didn't like it, played Vietnam for a couple of weeks and go bored, then went to 2142 and played that for a couple of months... I just loved the battle mechs

1942 DC Was sooooo much fun, I want to play it again so bad but I lost my CD's lol

2142 is a hella fun game too, I love it

same with BF2

I agrre T80's were way OP, but beyond that the game was amazing. Lots of games have 1 issue that sucks, doesn't make them bad games.

Question! - Is BF2 really that great? I never actually played it and was thinking of buying the complete collection sometime.

from what i hear its damned good, even has an expansion named after what i do!

BF was ok if you like DC. But it is nothing like DC, they oput you on a map that scales in size to how many players are in the game. They dont give you tanks, planes, or choppers. It just lacks the massive feel that DC had and it really dissapointed me. Nothing in my mind came close to that feeling until recently. If you got a 360 or a PS3 and you loved DC then get BF BC, no planes, but choppers and tanks and good sized maps on CTF. Also destructible enviroments, its as close as anything can get to DC.


And nice M1A1 goodness there PP. Tankers for life! I know everyone says it's the easy mode, but stat tracking in BF BC I look at my stats and I kill like 13 to 1 in tanks and other people are at horrible like 2 to 1, thats not tanking.

Thanks for the links, the BF2 mod looks very good, wonder how many servers would be playing it now though. I remember DC having more servers active than the norm BF1942 (at least I', pretty sure). Either way both those games are aged now.
