For some reason after about 5 minutes of play Battlefield 2142 seems to stop running and automatically jumps back to my desktop

I have the most recent 'full' patch installed (not the new 'BETA' patch) and the most recent nVIDIA ForceWare drivers (93.71) but this does not seem to help :(

Do you have any ideas as to why Im getting this problem???

Well, no oc, so your ok, (ocs throw of bf2 / 2142) I would do a reinstall. Also, check card temps, cpu temps.

Ive just updated my DX9.0 to the 2/2/07 version (hopefully this will help)

I remember BF2 having a problem with overclocked systems, but as you can see IM running everything at stock settings (for now) and my GPU/CPU temps seem fine

Im now going to test the game again (fingers crossed the DX update sorted it ;) )
