BF2142 keeps crashing back to the desktop: Advice Please

For some reason after about 5 minutes of play Battlefield 2142 seems to stop running and automatically jumps back to my desktop

I have the most recent 'full' patch installed (not the new 'BETA' patch) and the most recent nVIDIA ForceWare drivers (93.71) but this does not seem to help

Do you have any ideas as to why Im getting this problem???

Well, no oc, so your ok, (ocs throw of bf2 / 2142) I would do a reinstall. Also, check card temps, cpu temps.

my gfx card is oc'd by flashing the bios with higher clocks,bf2/2142 dont seem to mind.

Ive just updated my DX9.0 to the 2/2/07 version (hopefully this will help)

I remember BF2 having a problem with overclocked systems, but as you can see IM running everything at stock settings (for now) and my GPU/CPU temps seem fine

Im now going to test the game again (fingers crossed the DX update sorted it )
