Hey fellers. I'm helping a friend out and we need a case that can take an EE-ATX board. It's about 332mm wide and 300mm down, and I can't exactly find a case that's not a massive amount of money that'll fit that.

Any ideas?

I have one eatx board and when I use it I use my Define R4. I am not sure if that will be big enough, but it can hold the eatx board and do 2x triple slot GTX 580s in SLi.

I have a Supermicro EE-ATX motherboard in an old Cooler Master HAF 932 case. I had to bend the two top power supply supports out of the way and use them plastic motherboard stand-offs on some of the motherboard mounting holes, but it fit pretty good with plenty of room.

Now, finding a CM HAF 932 might be a tough chore.

The Phanteks Enthoo Pro 2 or Corsair 7000D might satisfy that itch. If money is no object the Thermaltake Tower 900 or Corsair Obsidian 1000 would also be good choices.

I've got the Antec P101 Silent case, it has 8 x 3.5" drive bays and a single 5.25" but those can all be removed. It may require some additional standoffs, but otherwise installing a 332mm-wide motherboard should work just fine. You can even keep two 3.5" bays and use the other HDD cable holes to route the motherboard cables, since the cable holes for a standard motherboard will be blocked off. That case costs a little over US$100.

Define 7 XL? It's not cheap though but at least it has room for everything.

If the screw layout is E-ATX compatible and the board is just wider it could fit in the standard Torrent (Fractal Design)

Will simply go a little beyond the raised area

SSI-EEB? Which motherboard are you planning to plant in there?
If it's some dual-socket Supermicro board, then the easiest option is some used 3U/4U server chassis. If you want tower - just look for SSI-EEB/EATX compatible options(300x330mm).
Even my cheap-ass 1U chassis can fit that, only it will require a bunch of super-loud 40mm fans to keep it working. If you want new - CM MasterBox NR600P should do.
Alternatively you could try modding a good-ole CM Cosmos =) Pretty sure that with HDD cages "surgically removed" you can fit two EATX motherboards and a midget on a bike in it :D :D :D :D
