Hello,

I go through a translator so sorry if certain sentences are hard to understand.
I recovered a graphics card 980gtx ti amp zodiac (small error in the title 680) with only information that following a flash the user could no longer make it work.

I see on the various forums several things to do, some say that badly flashed CG are dead, others that it is recoverable.
I could not give more information about the version of bios used for the flash.

to sum up/

The CG turns on inside my box, but of course it is not recognized in Windows (device)
I test on a pc with a cpu / gpu that allows me to access Windows
the test was done on nvflash in bios version (boot key usb with Windows 98 or live on my pc with cmd)
so I typed
cd c: nvflash
nvflash --list (map not found)
So I block before the flash with the original bios

I would try to find a solution, and I would do the job of the century (finish my old 560 gtx ^^).

Thanks for your help

Okay what we need in particular is the information from the white stickers on the back of the video card itself.

Also we will need a picture of one of the memory chips on the video card itself.

Make sure all text information is clear.

Post pictures here please.

Hello,
Here are some pictures of the 980 gtx ti.
I try to disassemble a minimum to be able to see the circuit board.
Are these pictures enough for you?
Thank you

I tried to look where was the memory module but my computer skills are limited ^^
thank you

I think he means close ups of the actual memory chips that surround the GPU on the front of the card.

Thats incorrect, that is the back of the card, i need a picture of a memory chip on the front of the card. They surround the gpu die. They are black squareish/rectangular.

Memory chips on these Zotac cards will be either from Samsung or Hynix - I've got two 980Ti AMP! Omega cards and one has Samsung, the other Hynix.

Hynix memory should look like this:

I haven't had any luck finding a picture of the Samsung memory chips online. The AMP! editions that were reviewed on TPU all have Hynix memory......

My memory module does not come out well in photo, I try but none has a complete marking. They are well indicated from M1 to M12 around the graphics processor. I was able to mark the inscriptions by looking on the 12. Here is what is indicated

Ok

Thanks, will help you get bios

Both my AMP! Omega cards run the same bios - according to GPUZ. Just figured the BIOS version wouldn't matter unless GPUZ isn't reporting something correctly about them that would matter.

Here's one 980Ti:

Validation link: https://www.techpowerup.com/gpuz/details/a8sbf

Here's my second one:

Validation link: https://www.techpowerup.com/gpuz/details/34ewy
His clock speeds are higher

This is the Latest bios it says it supports All 3 ram brands

Heres the others, as you go down the list they get older.

really sorry but I'm lost. I look at the different bios that you have marked and do not know which one to take.
I did the tests with nvflash to try to flash the card, but it was not recognized, so even if I have the good bios, how could I flash it with a card that does not appear?
I am really beginner in computer science, I try to understand but it's a bit of Chinese for me (french expression ^^).

I will provide 2 videos.

The very first file I provided you download that one. And this is not computer science this is a matter of running a program and directing the program to the file that you need.

Here's the file.

https://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/176541/zotac-gtx980ti-6144-150917

Heres the tool you need

https://www.techpowerup.com/download/nvidia-nvflash/

Ensure your monitor is hooked up to igp, your gpu in the first pcie slot, all required power cords going to it.

Disable antivirus and anti malware utilities, run the nvflasher, it should find the pcie slot your gpu is in, find the bios file you downloaded which is in a .bin or .rom file format extension, run the utility follow directions and you should be set, if you are unsure about anything take it to a shop and let them do it.

You may need a spi flasher if the flash tool fails.

I try to do the manipulation by the ms back (with usb key) and windows with the bios you gave me.
I also try to position the 980gtx ti on both PCI slot of my motherboard.
I tested with my cpugpu processor and also with a second 560 gtx card.
With my card integrate into the processor nvflash can not find anything (message no nvidia display adaptaters found).
And with the 560 gtx he finds it but still not the 980 gtx ti.
It's really card detection that breaks problem because I can not run the flash.
Thank you for your help ^^

At this rate you may need to try another machine or get a SPI flasher
