Good time of day ... Foolishly flashed gtx 980 C98V-2SDN-M5DSX BIOS from another model ... with a change in frequency of turns cooler ... and forgot to save the original. If there is anyone realties this model and he will share bios.

It's nothing new at all. It happens, that's why there's bios collections. Humans make mistakes. I've done it, you've done it, that's why TPU is here to help.

You should always have someone modify your original bios. Flashing to a bios made for another GPU is just straight foolish.

Contact the card manufacturer for the correct bios and procedures to reflash the card if it can at all. Make sure you have the part number, stock keeping unit number and serial number readily available off of the card.

The GTX 980 Airboss X3 bios is in the database, just click unverified uploads like w1z said.

A silly question I guess. I have flashed Kepler and Maxwell cards several times. I now have EVGA GTX1080 FTW pascal. I don't know about this. I find GPU boost 3.0 too conservative and would like to let the card lose a bit more. MSI AB etc while very good work within BIOS spec of course.

So, first, do people flash Pascal. Second, is it a good idea and are performance gains worth it?

not worth it. but to some people , 1% perf improvement is worth it.the question: is a minute perf gain worth it to You? if the possible cost is damage to GPU?

There aren't any custom bios for the 1080s anyway really....there's one bios that's possible to flash to, and it's for the STRIX.....it works on the FTW, but not really very well. I wouldn't suggest it.

Adding volts to pascal doesn't really do anything anyway.....the hotter they get, the worse the perform. Want more performance? Set a custom fan curve, set a good overclock in the voltage / frequency curve tool and open a window.
