BIOS recovery (p8z77-v lx2) or buy a new BIOS chip

Hello people, is there any chance to recover the bios from this board? I bought it from a friend (unknown problem). Stuck on black screen on monitor but it seems to boot up but no post. Tried different BIOS chip from the working lx motherboard to lx2 and it works and tried the bios chip from lx2 to lx mobo same problem as lx2.

Any idea... Cheers!

That's what I said. BIOS eeprom is BASIC INPUT OUTPUT SYSTEM ELECTRICALLY ERASEABLE PROGRAMMABLE READ ONLY MEMORY...

i didnt tell him to buy a programmer...

I will say I bought one for my previous P67 Sabertooth and it did have one thing “wrong” It had no MAC address it was all zeros. My buddy is still using it without fault so it wasn’t an a real issue but still bothered me. My router was a bit confused though.

I know sometimes mac can be changed...
