I have currently a processor not supported by my mobo and I am still using it,
Now if I update my bios to the latest then will it cause the mobo not to support my processor?

I don't know how you came up with that assumption, but you should update your bios. The newest bios will give you better compatability and stability.

QDR is sorta different than FSB. QDR is the effective FSB speed. You take your FSB and multiply it by 4. (533x4)In your case if that were true, you would be running a speed of 2132MHz or 2.1GHz. Your CPU is running at 2.66Ghz.

I say go for it because Newegg says your motherboard supports Pentium processors. You have a Pentium processor. So update.

Well, I once built my friend a PC, and bought him one of the brand new Brisbane CPUs, its wsnt supported by his board, but it booted anyway at a generic 2.0Ghz clock speed (it was 2.3Ghz stock) and allowed me to update the BIOS.

Now that was AMD, I don't know if Intel is the same.

my current bios doesn't supports the E8400, so it means that it will boot up if I use E8400?

I'm only talking from my experience with AMD, but it booted fine, installed Windows, but it was seen as an "AMD Athlon @ 2Ghz" not as it's actual model number.

A new bios will not stop supporting your cpu. Don't worry about it. Just flash it.
