those settings are on manufacturer site so i'm always able to check this info.
yes i thinked about that, so i manualy changed clock to default position with riva tuner but this tool can't make statick clocks -theyre variabling so this chek is unusual. after i changed clocks to default problem remained..

My experience says when the driver stops responding it means the Core is being HEAVILY overclocked. so you may try underclocking. 500 Core, 400 Mem.

Try it. If that really wont work, must be something else. Maybe incorrect voltages.

There is no way to read the shaders or adjust them. Technically the x19xx series didn't use shaders.

I will need u to open GPU-Z and this monitoring prog at the same time and show me what it says.

GPU-Z on the "Graphics card" tab where you have Default clock and GPU clock. and then take a screen shot. Coz things are confusing me somehow.

Thanks.

Benchmark Scores It does boot up? I think.
Looks like GPU voltage during load is too low (0.9v) and that causes the crash. Should be around 1.1v, or so.
Technically the x19xx series didn't use shaders.
I think those 48 pixel shaders in R580 would like to disagree.

ok, i'll try to increase to 1.1v but need to know how to

today i had few hours of clear gameplay without crashing. i think that this is connected with "volttage regulator temperature", because when card crash'd all monitors showed always different values, but this temperature was always 67-68 just before crash, and just after that crash happenes. also once, just before crash, "volttage regulator current, A" showed ~23-27A.

Yes, largon is right.

It requires BIOS modding, someone else has got to tell u how, since I do not have ATI cards.

But weird that those IDLE clocks are too high. my nvidia card idles at 169 for core and 100 for memory.

No, no bios modding is required. ATiTool can adjust voltages on X1900 cards.

it's because of me - i maded that with RivaTuner, so clocks are on static level to exclude clock as a reason..

?
can do nothing - everytime this poping-up.
i have no monitor drivers for my monitor (win5x64), so using standart driver and original monitor's color managment.

i think i know what is going on. looks like video card work fine on 600MHz memory and 500MHz GPU, 0,9v, when it must work great on 650MHz GPU, 775MHz memory and 1.1v

when i setting up default adjustment (650MHz, 775MHz, 1.1v) then card going wrong, but on underclocking everything looks "normal".

i'm sorry - i didn't mentioned that before - i didn't have additional plugins to monitor frequency in full screen.
i'm not sure about my conclution, but all indicates to this..

lol looks like card was overheated :(
and now can i make a little more precisional adjustment of underclock, or any other tests (increasing of frequencies) may hurt card more than it is hurted now?

Click "Settings" and from the drop-down menu select "Voltage Control". You should see sliders for four voltages (VGPU, MVDDC, MVDDQ and VDDCI).
What if he wants to make it permanent?
The thing is, a bios mod cannot change the voltage on this card.

TOPIC SUMMARY:

1
Q: tried to update BIOS, now my videocard not working, my beautifull ATI X6660 and NVIDIA 7770 (BIOS crash):
A: you need to re-flash BIOS again! it's possible, don't worry! you can flash BIOS with this way: you must use at same time two cards - board integrated or external and your card with crashed BIOS. choose in motherboard BIOS to load from internal videocard and load to DOS. before that you need to create some little temporary FAT32 disk on your hard drive and drop there correct BIOS for your videocard and BIOS flashing tool, downloaded from FROM HERE. it is better to flash BIOS from DOS to avoid unexpected errors. then go to this disk and try to find crashed videocard with bios flashing tool and then re-flash BIOS again.

2
Q: in first minute (minutes) of gameplay card freezes \lock-ups \ crashes \ reseting e.t.c.
and \ or this error message appears:
Display driver has stoped responding and has recovered

A: Did you tried to overclock your videocard? the most frequent reason of this is CARD DAMAGE is CALLED BY OVERHEATING. to check this out try to underclock your videocard and monitor GPU clock and memory clock when testing videocard (playing wide load game). you can monitor your videocard status in fullscreen with THIS util (read help). undercock your videocard - reduce memory and GPU clock (MHz) on 50-100 MHz. if problem persists try the minimal clock. BE SURE THAT CLOCKS IS REALLY REDUCED by using monitoring IN FULL SCREEN MODE programs!

3
Q: can i flash my bios from x64 windows, using standart (x86) flash tools??
A: answer is not really so static.. this experiment on my system brought video card's BIOS to hell and other man said that on his system everything was great! i recomend to flash BIOS strictly from DOS.

4

Q: ATi tool shows thit massage:
(The Videocard you selected for overclocking in ATITool does not seems to be used by Windows)

A: update ATITool FROM HERE

I am glad your problem is fixed :)

Find your final stable clocks and tell us,
then u might send me your BIOS so I can edit it for the new clocks, so you wont have to keep underclocking through software before playing games..
