Hey there, a lurker's first post:
SO I'm building a budget rig with dual 4850's and a TP 45 HP mainboard (which was open box from newegg). After plugging everything in (all power, crossfire cables) and configing the jumps to 2-3 closed (followed instructions exactly) and booting, Vista doesn't recognize the secondary PCIe connected card, device manager reads one 4800 series card...
Additionally, there is no VGA/DVI output on the slave board, nor is there any initialization of the video card on the slave PCIe at boot (with BIOS options for PCIe Video initialization enabled)
I have swapped the cards back and forth in the slots and they are both bueno, it just seems like my board's 2nd PCIe x 16 slot's dead...and I pretty much figured returning it is inevitable, but before I do that, do you guys have any ideas?
