Yeah you should totally do one. I would dig through some old data first. For example for the past 5 yrs the price of discounted components and their price before discounts.

While I'd rather not have another place to look, I can see the benefit to a Black Friday 2017 thread.

Much lower res than what you were originally talking about, and the price seems to be high for just a 144Hz 2560x1080 panel, especially when talking about Freesync.

That appears to be a 60Hz panel. One I linked is still a better buy.

It is a great buy... it's certainly like wow impressive, but I must have better than 1080, I'm so used to 1200 both at work and at home. Besides, I'd have to re-arrange my office at home to fit a 49" monitor, even 34" is a stretch.

I'm always looking for good DDR4 deals it seems. Capacity>Speed for me as I can put more in memory rather than pull from disk. And needing some 1070/1070ti(?)/1080 for the ~$350

Looking for a solid laptop (not gaming) for my mother to replace hers. Going <$500, and since she really only needs it for internet, email, occasional recipe searching and printing, the main aim of the money is long-lasting, and at least 15.6". Any one spot anything in their travels?

i found this decent Optiplex deal on a site Amazon recommended to me called "Woot". it seems legit though.

these are small PC's, but they have the 2 Core 4 thread i3, and 8gb's RAM. if you got a 750ti/950ti/1050ti LP you could have a decent little gaming/whatever PC, but as it is sold Refurb, it is a decent deal. i have the 7010 SFF Optiplex, and i'd bet a dollar it outdoes many "gaming" PC's & laptops marketed as for people who want to be able to game.

$150 for a 500Gb Version
$180 for a 2Tb Version

all come with Win 10Pro
8gb's RAM
Even a KB + Mouse comes in the Box (im sure they're standard Dell ones, but Eh)

Woot was purchased by Amazon a few years ago. The gentleman who sold it (and I believe was pushed out, but I could be recalling incorrectly) has started a site in the spirit of the original one: Meh.com.
Woot is legit, but it's basically Amazon's leftovers, and their refurb warranty group is MISERABLE to deal with. Let me repeat: MISERABLE. They are based in Canada, and have you ship the merchandise to Vermont, iirc. Then, once a week (Thursday, I think), the Vermont warehouse ships everything they've received to Canada, thru customs. Then, and some indeterminate time later, you'll receive your merchandise. Good deals, but the "refurb" is not very "refurb". Old hard drives wiped, etc.
