DaRK did you try going to the laptop vendor page and download the chipset and video drivers? I would try that and test.

Why are there no Windows 10 drivers for my tested computer?
Many tested systems have no Windows 10 drivers listed on the Dell Drivers and Downloads website, as the latest Windows 7 SP1 and/or Windows 8.1 drivers work normally in Windows 10. No additional drivers should need to be installed after upgrade.

When a computer is upgraded to Windows 10, the existing hardware drivers on the computer are carried over to the new operating system. Computers tested for upgrade to Windows 10 from older operating systems (Windows 7 SP1 and/or Windows 8.1 Update) have been tested to ensure that the latest drivers available on the Dell Drivers and Downloads web site for those operating systems will work correctly in Windows 10. If the latest Windows 7 SP1 or Windows 8.1 drivers for that computer do not work correctly, Dell has created a new version of the driver for Windows 10. This driver is made available on the Dell Drivers and Downloads page for the tested computer and is also added to Windows Update. Only drivers that require an update will be listed under the Windows 10 section of the drivers page.

Note: Computers that are factory installed with Windows 10 will have all drivers for all components available on the Dell Drivers and Downloads website.
If you need to reinstall a driver for a tested computer and there is no Windows 10 driver available, use the latest Windows 8.1 driver by following the methods below. If no Windows 8.1 driver is available for a component, use the Windows 8 or Windows 7 driver."

Well if you were on windows 10 from an upgrade then you already had your needed drivers but YOU said you did a fresh install of windows which now means you no longer have the drivers you did on the upgraded version of windows 10. That lappy had i believe 8.1 or maybe 7 stock and was upgraded to 10.....Anyways plz do the drivers from the web page i provided you and I believe the issues will be gone. Or continue as you are.

I'm almost positive that you will need to install the manufacture's chipset driver and all their video drivers...then reboot and test...if all is good then maybe run windows update to see what it says.

install this one under chipset
Intel Chipset Installation Utility and Driver 9.3.0.1021 2.6 MB Oct 18, 2012
and this one Intel Management Engine Interface (MEI) Driver 8.1.0.1263 31.8 MB Oct 18, 2012
and this one under Video AMD High-Definition (HD) Graphics Driver 8.982.10.1600 300.1 MB Nov 26, 2012

and this one Intel High-Definition (HD) Graphics Driver 9.17.10.2857 136.6 MB Oct 26, 2012

EDIT Do you understand how to do the above? If not let me know and I will give more details.

Your problem stems from using the drivers from Windows update. Get the drivers from the laptop manufacturer or if the gpu maker has them get them there.

I doubt that GPU is causing problems. Run a memory test - maybe one or both RAM modules are causing the problems and check cable connections inside the laptop.

same problem everytime
no I mean it might not be a videocard driver... it might be something stupid like the freefall sensor (if you have one of the kionix ones etc)... it definitely sounds like a driver load gone bad... see if you can open the event viewer in windows or enable boot logging to start the search.

should be about the same for W10 but don't know:

Which drivers? Did you mean the drivers from DRDNA links or Static~Charge?
I say try only Chipset drivers first from Static~Charge links. Don't install any other drivers. See how it goes. If it goes fine, try graphics card drivers.

Check cable connections and make a clean OS install with drivers from the official HP site or from DVD that came with laptop. Disable automatic updates or just disconnect laptop from the internet and see how it works for a few days. Important: do not update Windows during that time.

Way to reinstall Windows,

Get drivers from laptop and chipset manufacturer for applicable OS version, aka Win7, 8, 8.1, 10
Format HDD or SSD using the drive manufacturers tools.

Use a Legitimate OS version (not warez, Insiders edition, Developers Edition)
And install the os.
DO NOT INSTALL DRIVERS FROM WINDOWS UPDATE.
Get applicable Windows updates first.
Instsll Drivers, GPU driver should be before Audio driver if possible.

Benchmark Scores Faster than yours... I'd bet on it. :)
Why do you install gpu before audio? I've been good either way.. but usually install gpu first...

Uninstall the GPU driver/software and reboot. This will confirm the issue.

Back in the day you had to install the GPU drivers first because you couldn't see all the screen.

How far are we going back?

My XPS gen 1 with MRadeon 9800 under xp would display fine for normal use, but of course with games you needed the driver like everything else out there lol
