Hello,
I'm trying to replace a defective Nvidia card in my Acer Aspire 7720G with a Geforce 9300GS MXM II only I'm struggling to find the correct files to do a blind vga bios flash with. Can anybody help with the following please.
What DOS system files do I need to put on a bootable USB stick if I'm using Vista OS and where do I find the correct ones? I've read Vista does not use any DOS boot files and I will need to find XP ones or Win98 for this purpose. Are any of these suitable?

http://www.bootdisk.com/bootdisk.htm

or should I just follow this tutorial?

http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/191416-dos-usb-boot-drive.html

And where do I get the correct video bios from as my card isn't listed in techpowerup's collection?

thanks

jonny

What make is the 9300GS? Take a look through these lists, all by manufacturer......

As for the flash, you can get it working with vista, you will of course need your bootable floppy or USB plus this....

NVFlash (the actual bios programming software (DOS).......

Then read this which will tell you everything you need to know........
