IMAGES: are those of ACTUAL things. Click on THUMBNAILS for larger images
PRICES: are BEFORE SHIPPING unless explicitly stated otherwise
HEAT: my heat is 450+ (that's like Top 0.1%) -- please buy my stuff and help me catch up with karaktu ;) (he's pushing 2300 --> major buying effort is needed HERE!)

New 2TB WD Elements external HDD -- $104.99 (LIMITED TIME ONLY) + insured shipping required SOLD as pictured. New, never used. NETG suffix and "Made in Malaysia" suggest a possibility of WD Black inside. However, YMMV and I make no guarantees (furthermore, opening the enclosure voids the warranty) .. still check out the info below

I opened one (retail carton, not the enclosure) and Crystal Disk Info tells me that the drive inside is a WD2001FASS-00W2B0, which according to WD (see second image) is a 7200RPM 64MB cache WD Caviar BLACK

EDIT: all buyers who left me heat on these drives have found WD2001FASS drives inside, no other drives have been reported

New SATA II cables w/ metal latches -- $0.69ea. 18"-20" (depending on whether or not one wants to include connector length into the measurement). $0.59ea. if buying more than 10

Small font stuff:
  • Local pickup (ZIP=10512) is welcome
  • Preferred payment method: amazon payments
  • I will leave heatware feedback for every transaction and I expect others to do the same
  • I have 100% heatware feedback and I intend to keep it that way (through being upfront seller / communicating clearly / shipping quickly / etc.)
  • Will easily ship ahead of payment for traders with heat greater than mine
  • "Limited lifetime warranty" and similar means that manufacturer offers repair or replacement at no cost, except, perhaps, shipping to/from. I do not offer any warranty other than "not DOA" for items I had an opportunity to test/use

But then again, HDD prices are going up due to Thailand Flooding.

Yes, one can debate how good of a price $105 I'm asking is. I guess, it depends on how quickly the aftermath of the flooding can be dealt with .. so each person is likely to make his own determination. I wish I could offer these at $60-$70 to make this more appealing, but this will not help my wallet any ;)

yapchagi, did you get a NETG or NESN drive?

I don't remember. But it's the Caviar Black inside. But then again, I think it's NETG. I remember the only way for sure is if it shows both NETG and made in Malaysia.
The guy bought a lot and I bought 1 from him.
He even crack-opened the HDD case for me and shipped the whole thing.
