Boot problems

First I had 8gb of ram and it worked great, then I bought another 8gb. The first boot was good the system recognized the 16gb, but the next day I tried to turn on my pc and it didn't boot. I had to take the new sticks of ram to make it run.

What can I do to make it work with 16gb of ram??

PC specs:
i5 4670k (stock speed)
msi gd65 gaming z87
cooler master v1000 gold
r9 280x
g. skill trident x 2400mhz 4 * 8gb

run the ram at a lower speed/higher timings.

Maybe they are incompatible, or you can try to change their position, hope this can help you.

Whenever you buy ram test it with memtest86 before you even use it. Saves you alot of headakes

The RAM is compatible with his system. But I agree to move the sticks around and make sure they are in the correct RAM slots

Do you not have a "MemOK!" button on your mobo?
I just looked, seems not.
However, the dual channel thing seems important.
So same stuff in 1&3 and 2&4.

Reset BIOS. One kit is probably running at 2400 and the other isnt causing the issues.

Reset BIOS, Load optimized defaults(In bios). Enable XMP. Reboot

You are likely going to need to increase sysyem agent voltage (VCCSA)

You are populating all Slots on the board with fast memory, that'll put extra load on the IMC.
