boot-up times w/ a ssd and hdd

guys i have a bit of a stupid quesiton, and im not sure that this is the correct palce for it, so mods, feel free to move it.

if i had a system that ran off an ssd(games, os, etc), and i put in an internall hdd as a storage drive, would boot times be effected?

Only for a fraction of a second for the extra drive to initialize. Nothing noticable.

ah, tyvm erocker-san. i was under the impression that the bios or os had to read what was on every extra dd or some such before computer would boot completely into the os.

yes, but that takes very very little time. educated guess is around 100-250 ms

ah, tyvm w1zzard-san. so i was right about the actions, but wrong about the time it takes. makes me wish that i had an internal 1tb for my storange instead of an external on my current system
