Hello,

So I had to reset default settings of my BIOS and it messed up...
I have 2 monitors - one at DP, second on DVI. System boots up always at my primary(DP) screen. DVI was black on startup.

Now after Bios restore, system boots in DVI device.
I'ts terribly annoying when I need to look far far away to see some Bios settings in my second tiny screen.

I Googled it - peoples said it can't be done, but since when I started to have two monitors, system always boot on primary at DP.
So it must be a trick to do that. I was trying to plug DVI and DP at the same time to my primary, start system and reboot. Switch DVI to second and leave primary to DP but won't help. Did the same thing at BIos screen.
Also in Nvidia CP my 1st monitor is set to primary.

Maybe there is an option to reflash GPU with some software that changes priority?

Thanks

No no no do not even contemplate flashing your Card
Why not? Few years ago I was flashing AMD 7970 several times without issues, but yes It's not a proper way to fix that...

go to nvidia application and you're will be happy ... happy days!
I'm already happy, but that's not enough :D In Nvidia app it's nothing that could help me I guess.

Hi

Uninstall Nvidia driver [Note: leave only the Primary device plugged in to port required]

Reinstall Nvidia driver allow Primary device to be detected. [Next: plug in secondary device required]

This is not a Bios Firmware issue that can be sorted by Bios Flashing

(if you do your brick it and have to restore the OEM Bios)
You set the Primary Display in Windows (irrespective which display port initializes first) and then you set the Secondary display
then save the Settings

Have you even checked your Display menu to confirm load Source Priority ??
1. DP
2.HDMI
3.DVI
4.VGA

Depending on options available of course

I don't see such a option.

But... I think I figured this out.
First changed cable from DVI to VGA with DVI adapter(don't know does it matter but I did that :p). Second I changed in UEFI, CSM to disabled.
Now It's booting at DP monitor. But why is that matter? Why is that worked?
