Hey,
Yesterday I bought MSI Gtx 1070 Gaming X graphic card, Enjoyed it.
But after seeing its potential here- https://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/MSI/GTX_1070_Gaming_X/15.html
I stunned because I was happy that I got this card that is capable of burning huge fps out of it even in the GTAV like shown on above thread.
It says 105.2 fps at 1920*1080.
Then I checked on my system with fraps, but I only got 60-65 sometime 40-45 at rush area.
I also test benchmark provided in GTAV setting, same result.
Then I realized that I don't have proper monitor for my card, means I have a 32 inch old HD ready TV at 1360*786 native resolution with 60hz refresh rate.

Note:- Above benchmarking I crarried out at 1080p(on another TV which is FHD).

So, I turned of V-sync
Still not passed that 65 fps at both resolution on both tv(both are 60hz though).

I don't know what is stopping my card to gain that performance level which was reviewed by above thread in every game.
Is it my moniter/tv problem or Mobo/Processor bottlnecked card's preformance?

P.S- I don't know much about this "bottleneck" thing. As I only learnt(little bit) it in my computer science classes.

Please help, I paid more than my salary and yet not satisfied.

If your game is pushing that frames, fraps puts an additional demand on the unit. If you don't notice glitching/lag in games without fraps i wouldnt worry about it.

Ps bottlenecks are a bullshit term just to get you to spend as much money possible.

what do you mean by - " fraps puts an additional demand on the unit"?

Check CPU and GPU utilization when running the tests (Afterburner has that option via OSD).
I did, at 1080p on HD-ready tv it shows 83-98% GPU usage with 45-50 fps.(It gives 98 fps at some places in games where there is nobody like in streets)
And at 1360*786 it gives 60-65 fps at 70% usage.
Is something wrong??

Trying to compare your PC with the one W1zzard uses for reviews is kinda pointless. You have an Sandybridge vs the Skylake he uses. That alone is the difference. You're chasing shadows and your card is working fine...

So, it means skylake helps gpu to gain in fps.
FPS depends on gpu+cpu?(I thought it was gpu only).
do I need to upgrade to it?
how to fully enjoyed my card? by buying another moniter which has more than 60hz or G-sync enabled or replacing with skylake processor, or both?

You can throw as much money at it as you want to get better and better FPS but that is your decision. You aren't getting bad FPS either tho are you?

Are you maxing out your settings? Like with max AA&AF ? Because that will cripple most cards.
As for depending, many games depend on a good graphics card, cpu not so much. But some games need both.

Btw GTAV ran fine on 2500k cpu's at the time, so maybe a driver issue?

So, playing within 40-65 fps is good?
even at 1080p?
do things work like that?
does anyone playing with those fps these days?
Is it normal, isn't it?
I have to change only my tv to FHD to look game more sharp n nice.
That's it nothing to worry about, not with 60hz limitation(I thought 60hz=60fps). So, if I want to get more fps then I need more >60hz tv/monitor?
Sooner I upgrade my ramaining specs I will get those FPS which I desired?
If the answer is YES for all above Questions, then I think I am done today.
Thanks in advance.(you are making it easy for me)

No it isn't good. If your display can only do 60Hz, then you want the PC to be able to render above this and then lock it with vsync for nice, smooth stutter-free animation.

Of course, it does suffer some lag, which is terrible in an fps like GTA V. To solve this, NVIDIA have introduced a new feature called FastSync. This lets the graphics card render as fast as it can, but without tearing and judder and the big win happens when the system can render above 60fps. This then seriously reduces lag and it's a bit of a killer feature in my book. I use it all the time now.

Finally, every system has a bottleneck, or it would run infinitely fast. This applies to everything, not just computers, either. The real question is where you want that bottleneck to be and what is the overall performance of the system.

Is your cpu overclocked now? If not you easily got a bottleneck there, a 2500k at stock is not even remotely fast enough to push a 1070 to its limits. Get a 1080p monitor with 144hz first and then overclock the cpu. And if that is still not enough you need a new cpu/mb/ram. But first things first. Report what is up with your system with what Im supposing to you.

Buying a monitor first is a waste of money for testing. Just overclock the CPU, turn off vsync and benchmark is all he has to do. If the framerates justify it, then he can consider upgrading the monitor to a 144Hz one.

Nah it's just a general consideration for him because he drives a very old monitor with low resolution that's not suited at all for modern gaming.

Hasn't overcloccked yet. Don't know how to do this and which cpu cooler is best for me, I will dig in this later. I think you are right. I have to change my monitor and then few months later will buy new cpu-mobo-ram combo.
But 1080p with 144hz is too costly even at 24 inch screen and I got a habit of seeing things on 32 inch screen.
Can I buy another tv with 1080 at 60hz or 100hz 32 inch, which is very cheap here.

Of course you can, but those 32" 100hz aren't real 100hz panels they are extrapolating from 60hz (99% of them). And if you want to play at 60Hz just stay with your cpu and learn to overclock it. Also the cpu cooler you supposed, the 212 evo, is good enough for doing it. Overclocking is easy, just go into bios and increase the multiplier of cpu from 34 what's stock to 45 for example. With proper cooling it should work.

Ps. Playing on a TV isn't good you have input lag and bad latency there. Get a proper gaming monitor even if it's only 60hz - it's way better.

Buying a monitor first is a waste of money for testing. Just overclock the CPU, turn off vsync and benchmark is all he has to do. If the framerates justify it, then he can consider upgrading the monitor to a 144Hz one.
So overclocking wll help to get more fps then I will do it, but don't know which cpu cooler to get(there are many n they confuse me).

My x58 system runs it much faster, some other person will come along mentioning that their system with a newer CPU is bottlenecking.

I have a GPU bottleneck, every system has a bottleneck, the term is actually idiocy because it is something we don't have any control over.

If you think about it not having 99% usage on anything would be the only time you have no bottleneck.

However this has it's down sides too, like with me sometimes when i play Sniper Elite V2 my FPS will drop to 37FPs, CPU barely doing anything and GPU at 40% usage.. by the term bottleneck that's something i don't have lol.

Just ignore what every one else is doing and concentrate on your own experience, if it's good enough for you that is all that matters.

The one you already supposed - cooler Master 212 evo is pretty good for its price and able for overclocking a cpu. Trust me do it - it will be good and you will save money too.
