bought a mining rx 580 8gb and cant fix it not sure if its bios or something else

first of all never been into mining so i tested the card straight away it was performing as it should till i realised after maxing the settings on pubg card started going really loud and making weird noises than i touched the backplate it was so hot and i was told i need to flash the bios or something couldnt find anything related to this specific model and i defaulted the setting in auros engine and started getting like 10 fps in ultra when i was getting 65 stable before changing the settings is there anyway i can reset this card back to factory settings bios or whatever it is and how do i proceed ? im really lost

In order for anyone to help they are going to need you to fill out your system specs in your forum profile.
Also as a start list the type of card but in bios terms it's likely going to require pictures of the top and bottom of the card especially any discriptive labels, it might even require disassembly to see the ram chip's.

when you say pictures of ram and gpu do you mean the ones in the system or you just wanna know what exact model they are for specs ?

Gpuz reports what the bios says, so is useless tbh( in that it shows you the what it is Now) ,it Will take pictures of the cards label's.

I think he means a pic of the memory chips on your 580's PCB as opposed to your DDR3 RAM.

This will give you a clue. GB PCB And yes you have to take it apart to get to it.

Well it's a risk if you don't, simply because unless you know the exact model AND the manufacturer only used one type/make of memory (Hynix, Samsung, Micron, Elpida etc)on that particular model then you would risk flashing a bios with the wrong memory timings and/or settings and that is likely to brick your card.

do it have a duel bios switch, my rx580 has one near the end of the card on the top of the backplate it has a cut out, if so switch to the other bios because thay would only mod the one bios with mining mod. charl.

Take a look, it's likely to be near the power, will be very small, there should be, that may solve ur problems, completely forgot about the good old dual Bios switch!

Every one of their 8G 580's have both a gaming and overclocking mode, so that might confirm that there are 2 Bios settings = Dual Bios.

theres nothing on my card stating theres a switch around the pcb prob doesnt have 1

another thing to check would be are you pci-e cables in right my 6pin has to be pushed in tight so it clicks, no problem with the 8 pin. charl.

OK, go into your Aorus Graphics interface and check the settings in there, maybe post a screenshot so we can see fan settings etc, if it's getting hot then that would throttle the GPU and effect performance which are the symptoms you have mentioned, it may be that the mining Bios is set up for low noise and the drivers are behaving to that but the Aorus settings may give an indication of that.
