Last summer I was swapping out the video card, didn't discharge the static electricity and it shocked me a bit when I touched the case. After that the LAN wouldn't work and the PC kept booting into the BIOS like it wanted me to do something. I flashed the BIOS to the latest version and it has been performing fine now for two weeks. The LAN chip is fried, but I had an Intel Gigabyte CT PCI-E adapter laying around and it performs as well as the onboard LAN did.
Now that I have the BIOS instability worked out and can connect to the Internet via the PCI-E adapter should I bother with an RMA? I've heard so many horror stories about ASUS RMAs and am wondering if I should leave well enough alone.
