so i bought a new sealed 1080 Ti Strix (non OC) from a local electronics shop (new old stock)
the card worked fine for 2 days and the final stable oc was +70 and + 300 on the memory.
after a few days i noticed crashes and artifacts in certain games.
i removed the memory oc and it worked again.
then i played remnant from the ashes with a friend for like 8 hours straight with no issues.
next morning i played rainbow six siege and it crashed within minutes.
dialed it back to+50 Mhz and it worked fine again.
the +50 wasn't stable the next day and it crashed at +30 as well.
then i started worrying about other parts, reseated it, checked the PSU (it's a 1KW Dark Power Pro 11 Platinum...) everything was fine.
+30 was stable and worked fine until yesterday where i had blue flashes on the screen and crashes in the evening.
this morning i dialed it down to stock and it worked fine again.
Now before i started writing this the card is not even stable at stock speeds and does not want to do anything demanding at all.
Timespy only runs when going down to -50 Mhz.
i RMA it but what's the problem that a chip degrades like it runs at 2 Volts?! temps are fine, new thermal paste, very decent high end PSU, everything else works fine (other cards are running fine as well)
