So my Aorus likes to bring back clock speeds if the card goes over 110c on the hotspot (GPU temperature 2 in MSI AB)
I have re-applied new paste tonight, some Ceramique, it usually works a treat because it normally don't dry up very quick and lasts, though i am sure there are better pastes out there.

Well the repaste dropped the temps by 7c but the hotspot still reaches peaks of 111c, the GPU runs stock at 2100mhz with 1.2v but only really reaches 2050mhz then throttles to as low as 1988mhz when the hotspot temperature is reached.

Any way of defeating the HT temps?

System Name Bragging Rights
Processor Atom Z3735F 1.33GHz
Motherboard It has no markings but it's green
Cooling No, it's a 2.2W processor
Memory 2GB DDR3L-1333
Video Card(s) Gen7 Intel HD (4EU @ 311MHz)
Storage 32GB eMMC and 128GB Sandisk Extreme U3

VR HMD Samsung Oddyssey, not that I'd plug it into this though....
Software W10 21H1, barely
Benchmark Scores I once clocked a Celeron-300A to 564MHz on an Abit BE6 and it scored over 9000.
I mean, 2050MHz is the peak boost clock - at those speeds it's going to run hot but you shouldn't expect it to ever stay at that speed.

Gigabyte claim the card has a game clock of 1905MHz but you shouldn't be bouncing off the Junction Point temperature. In all my experience of 5700-series overclocking/undervolting - I've never seen Junction Point temeratures more that 15-20C higher than the average core temperatures, meaning that your card is likely running at 90C+ which is too hot.

RMA it. Those temperatures are not normal unless you are manually overclocking beyond the existing factory overclock.

Never exceeds 62c right now and junction maxes at 90c which is cold.

Fixed it, was a fan problem.

BF4 at 4K and 90+ constant FPS maxed out, no temp issues.

Oh and completely abandoned MSI Afterburner and RTSS, they break games with Radeon.

Maintained speed is around 2030-2070mhz.
