I need a board for a budget upgrade for a friend, everything else is bought apart from the board.
Their specs when its built will be:
CPU: E2160 1.8ghz (hopefully i will OC to around 3ghz)
Board: TBD
GFX: Geforce 8800gts 320mb
Ram: 2x1gb Corsair 6400
Monitor: 19" CRT
I know its not a hugely powerful beast but it should enable them to play new games at reasonable settings,as they've spent the last 5 yrs playing games on hardware that's at least 4 gens behind the current.
Budget is low unfortunately about £60 ish and the only 2 boards ive found that look reasonable are both MSI
P43 - http://www.ebuyer.com/product/148024
or
P31 - http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MB-095-MS
To be honest i would have preferred to get them a P35 but seems they are now rather expensive and well out of budget
which of the 2 would u suggest is better ? or any alternatives within the price range.
thanks
