budget dilema

ok, im building a budget computer i want get spend around $150 on a gpu i was thinking the 9600 would suit well, im a FPS person but with intent on playing supreme commander and the new age of conan mmo, so i want enough performance to run these games also

Well I would say that a 9600Gt will do the job, because the 9600GT has like one the best price/performance ratio out there. And it kinda depends on what you like most nVidia or ATI.
But the performance for the 9600GT is awsome for it. I would look for a XFX OC edition one or get a Palit Sonic, cause there performance are great.

That xfx 8800gt I linked in your other thread was $130 after mir. The 8800gt outperforms the 9600gt, especially at higher resolutions, although the 9600gt can get 8800gt performance w/ oc at lower resolutions, and is a better choice if you plan on doing sli in the future.

i dont have a very big moniter yet so im running low res, but i would like to get like a 19" lcd eventually, SLI isnt planned
