Budget Gaming GPU

Hello TPUers, I’m throwing together as close to low cost as possible rig for gaming to basically hold me over until Zen3 drops next years more than likely around the holidays. Between the RX Vega 56, RX Vega 64, and RX 5700 what would you guys recommend ? Monitor is 4K but I don’t think I’ll be playing at 4K probably 1080 or 1440

The main 2 games I play are Battlefield and Call of Duty

5700 without a second thought. It's the fastest of the three, it's much more power efficient, it has a modern architecture that will get much more support going forward.

Dang it the RX 5700 I was looking at was $299 but it just sold out

the Vega 56 $239 and the Vega 64 $299

i love its performance @ 1440P in BF V. Its a great card and a step up from a V64

Vega 56 will probably be the cheapest option. It's also about 20-25% slower than RX 5700. Vega 64 offers very similar performance to RX 5700 but also draws a lot more wattage.
Check used GTX 1070, GTX 1070Ti and GTX 1080. GTX 1080 is slightly more powerful than RX 5700, Vega 64 and GTX 1070Ti and about 25-30% more powerful than GTX 1070 and Vega 56 respectively.

I was in the similar dilemma one month ago when I sold my Sapphire R9 390 w/backplate, but I mostly focused on RX 5700 GPU's. Then I found out that there are few used GTX 1080's and GTX 1080 Ti's in excellent condition with valid warranty, both cheaper than AIB RX 5700 and both more powerful. So I bought Palit GTX 1080 Game Rock and saved 100+ € compared to RX 5700.

If you want a new GPU, an RX 5700 will be the best option considering performance and price.
