Hi!
My parents and I decided to join forces ($$) to build a new PC for my sister and replace her aging C2D 7xxx (not sure anymore what's inside)

Building based on most important things to the least ones.
1) She does plenty of writing, reading and translating on her pc (spends hours every day)
2) FB and IRC addict + a lot of surfing
3) Movies and music
4) Light (hobby) photo editing
5) not sure about gaming but she plays Sims and occasionaly League of legends plus some flash games.

I'm still not sure which way to go but i think Trinity setup should do!??
CPU: A10-5700 (low consumption and decent GPU for her needs imo)
MBO: ASRock FM2A85X Extreme4-M
RAM: G.Skill Sniper 8GB 1866 (F3-14900CL9D-8GBSR)
SSD: ADATA S510 120gb
HDD: WD Green 1TB
PSU: Be Quiet! Pure Power L8 430w
CASE: Fractal Design Define Mini

Monitor: 27" ASUS VK278Q (this is basically the most important part of PC along with keyboard)
Keyboard: Not sure what to look at here to be honest. Probably mechanical keyboard with proper switches but that's not my territory. HELP!!

What do u guys think? Should i change something?

Budget is up to $1500 and i can get anything you suggest. Buying in next few day.

Thanks a bunch in advance!

Thought i'll get some help and opinions here but I got this sorted elsewhere. Hard to get help/suggestions if build is not based around 3570k or above... sad...

Damn man, it sucks that nobody helped with your build request. Don't feel bad, sometimes threads just slip under the radar.

It's okay to bump your thread with a single post if nobody has replied after a day or so. It's not like the entire forum abandoned just you, it happens to all of us.

Hi!
I already purchased parts and build is up and runing. Only thing i had to swap is SSD as ADATA was out of stock and took Samsung 830 instead.

As it goes for PSU i have very bad experience with Corsair's CX430.

Not all mechanical keyboards are loud, and mechanical keyboards make regular keyboards obsolete, if they weren't so expensive anyway.

I think the majority of forum users are from the USA, and posting at 1:43 / 4:43 AM our time it will probably get pushed under the rug. If you post later in the day though, we would answer more frequently.

A thread like this usually gets 30-40 + replies, I apologize for this slipping under the radar.

Nice choice, the 830's quad-core controller really make it fast.

:wtf:
Not sure if you even need help with your original post and this.... :wtf:

I think you've got a good handle on things :)

Had a bad day at work also so frustration just tagged along and i apologize for overreacting.

I'm a gamer and do some hobby OC so building one that way is quite easy for me but doing the same for casual user gives me headache and every time i start to put things together i end up with gaming rig... sad but true thus why i/m asking for help and poiters before i get off the track again.
She bought QPad mk-85 keyboard with blue switches with her own money. Nice keyboard but way too much for me to molester it like i do.

Cheers

I've been using Be Quitet! PSUs for some time now and i'm quite satisfied with this line but can't say the same for the prices (same units 10€ more than they were last year)

I played a bit with her rig and i can say that i'm more than impressed with trinity apu and tbh started to consider building one for myself when Richland will be released, replacing my gaming rig (don't play that much anymore), media rig and file server.

back to lurking forum.
