fanboi is the l337 term.
anyways. the pentium is only marginally better in cpu performance. and obviously this users concern does not lie with cpu performance, else he would have got a better budget. hence seeing how gpu acceleration is actually good, having something with a little bit of gpu power wouldnt be a bad idea.
The Intel is not marginally faster, it's 33% faster on average in single thread, and 64% faster on average in multithread according to CPU world. That's very significant. Not only is that noticeable now, but it will be all that much more noticeable in the future as apps require more power to run.
You need to ask yourself, exactly what will the extra GPU power get him? What is he doing that will benefit from it in a movie and general purpose, internet surfing machine? It's not like you play movies at a higher fps than what they're recorded in.
Sorry, but the Intel build in this thread is just a better machine for general purpose. If he wanted to do some PC gaming on integrated graphics, or specifically used GPGPU apps, I'd say the AMD build. For anything else, the Intel is better.
