So I've decided finally decided on the E5 1650. It was a tough decision as I really liked the X9DRH-7TF mobo and it was pushing me towards dual CPU, but logically it wouldn't make sense going dual CPU just for a mobo.

For the motherboard, I'm pretty set on the X9SRE-3F. Seems good? What exactly is the SCU though? is it similar to a fake-RAID RAID controller? I assume I can easily use it for a 6 drive RAID 5?

I have a cheap AuzenTech PCI sound card I can use for Audio and a GT 240 for video.

RAM I think I'll just go with standard 4x4GB Kingston DDR3 1333 Unregistered RAM.

PSU I'm thinking Kingwin LZP-550/650/750 or STR-500 OR go with a supermicro 920W 94+ 1U PSU (Pws-920p-1R) or something else idk?

Samsung 830 256GB SSD, probably overprovisionned by 30%... maybe an even 50%

6x 3TB WD Reds in RAID 5

Some standard DVD burner. Now... what fans, HSF and case?
