I really like my Secret Labs Titan but chairs are very personal preference and I wouldn't spend 3-500 usd on a chair unless I sat in one first.

I agree. A quality office chair is designed to be sat in, and provide great support all day long - WITHOUT interfering with body movement. And isn't that really what you need a quality chair for. There is nothing to suggest a gaming chair provides performs better in any of those or any other critical areas.

As far as aesthetics, I think that is a great point. Gaming chairs tend to follow fashion fads. And like all "fads" they fade away and "out of fashion". A quality office chair is timeless. This may not be an issue for some, but for others (including others who you share a home with) may care.

As far as which chair should you buy? You should buy the chair that feels best to you and offers the best support for your body. And nobody but you can determine that.
