It'll be a better overclocker then the Q6600, runs cooler.

no on average they overclock the same 24/7 but the q6600 will bench higher but does require more voltage. Example my old Q6600 would bench as high as 4.25ghz but run 27/7 at 3.6 My current Q9450 will do 3.8ghz at low voltage but no matter the voltage won't even bench higher than 3.88ghz.
