Buying Nxt Ram KIT-DDR4 should i MATCH with other Rams?

hi,
im using GSKILL RIPJAW 2133mhz 4x2GB on Z170 Asus Gaming PRO,
i dont know this question is able to ask, but
should i Buy the SAME or 2400mhz would be more good?
i mean,
2 x4gb 2133mhz + 2x4gb 2400mhz can be Good combination or it doesnt Matter?

You would be better off with:
2 x 4gb 3000 or 3200mhz
and if you can afford it 2 x 8gb

DDR4 2133 is slower on Z170 than DDR3 2133 on previous platforms.

Doesn't matter since OP's ram would all drop to the lowest speed.

Best thing to do is to get a 3000mhz 4x8 kit if you need that much.

Have you tried overclocking what you already have? No real need for more density in many instances, unless you have already verified that you are running out of RAM already!

personally I don't mix speeds. its just one more think to troubleshoot when overclocking.

I have never seen or heard of this issue. I have personally built 2 or 3 machines using that exact board and the i5/i7 none of them have ever had an issue with 4 dimms at 3200 using the cheap EVGA kits.

Unless you are just setting the XMP (which isn't overclocking) you will always have individual sticks of memory that clock differently than each other. You aren't going to be troubleshooting anything extra with 4 sticks in it either works or it doesn't, if it doesn't than you do normal ram overclocking things. Voltage, timings, give up.

I can tell you, that 4x8gb 3200 corsair dominators don't work on my rog hero alpha or z170a boards ( board reports voltage issues or doesn't post at all.. 4x8g 2800 vengeance plx work just fine.

I had the same issue with the 4x8gb of the patriot viper.

maybe its something with the 8gb+ stix.

Do some research you due have to occasionally bump certain cpu voltages when you load the memory controller like that. Memory controller binning is luck of the draw and it sounds like you got a weaker one.

I would recommend buy the same ram for more memory, or buy new set of ram at 4x4 or 2x8 or 2x4 @ 3000 mhz if you going for gaming. Rams may offer gaming speed by maybe 2-5 fps.

DDR4 2133 is slower on Z170 than DDR3 2133 on previous platforms.

While technically true, the difference is so slight, you will only see it on paper. But more importantly, DDR3 maxes out at 2133 while DDR4 can go much higher. You also have double chip densities and lower power requirements. So I say if you have a choice, go DDR4.
