The Ubi games leave a sour taste in my mouth ever since their insisting on platform parity just to appease Sony and MS.

Somehow when you said FC4 I was thinking of Mass Effect 4. Guess I've got Ubi aversion syndrome.

Sometimes I wish it were only about creativity of content, because there they shine, but unfortunately there's much more to it than that.

Honestly, I was considering buying this game, but then I talked myself out of it after remembering all the previous CoD releases. Honestly each call of duty at a certain point could be named the same thing, its litterally just feels like they change some guns, some perks, and the maps and release a new call of duty.

When CoD was first released, it was awesome! Vcod (Cod1) and CoD2 were by far the best Call of Duties out (Obviously debateable). I say this because I loved the simplicity of the gameplay, and the competitive level. CoD2 had one of the best Competitive lan communities around. (An American 5v5 Search and Destroy COD2 team (Team Pandemic) won the World series of Video games in like 2007) I liked these older ones because they werent crazy like the new ones are with perks and attachments and stuff. This also kept the gameplay more competitive.
Call of duty Modern Warfare was also a good game. (4th release)
Call of duty Modern warfare 2 was good - But last CoD I played competitively.

Honestly I wish they would re-release Call of Duty 2 on a new graphics layout, i personally think that would be awesome.

Now I stick to Battlefield 4 and Crysis 3 at the moment, until Far Cry 4 and newer games come out.

CoD is just not my style anymore.

Also, just for some people to check it out.

Try searching on youtube: Decerto 1 or 2 Call of duty 2

2 of my favorite CoD2 movies. Profesionally done, all clips are from LANs or online tournaments for money in 5v5 Search and Destroy.

"Fixed rare save game issue affecting playthrough progression"

Seriously? This is all they acknowledged was wrong with the campaign?

These guys have their heads up Activision's arses. Nothing regarding optimization.

I guess unless AMD and Nvidia can pull off some wizardry, we're stuck with a mess of a game.

...There's still hope...

"AMD has released the Catalyst 14.11.1 Beta graphics driver for the HD 7000 series and above on Windows 7 and 8.1. This beta improves performance in Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare and Assassin's Creed: Unity."

Initial view.

Really good. Long loading times and OOS and stuttering loading videos are negatives.

Performance is awesome. Everything maxed except Shadows off and Motion Blur off.

I rarely see anyone saying performance is awesome if they feel they need to turn something as basic as shadows off.

That said, it performs miles better than AC Unity. OMG I've tried lowering graphics to the Medium preset with textures at High, and even at 1366x768 it dips well below 30 FPS at times.

You can be averaging mid 40s in FPS and still have it feel like you're moving in slow mo too. And that's with the new Cat beta driver for AW/Unity.

What a piece of crap. They should have just released another Black Flag type game and called it quits, but Unity is pure milk, and not in a good way. More like sour milk.

And to think people were acting like I was crazy for saying Shadow of Mordor and Alien: Isolation are two of the best games of the year so far.

Link for some config tweaks. I have no idea if they work or not, try at your own risk. I haven't had a need to try as the game works pretty much great on my rig. The game is using 1985 Dedicated Video Memory with my GTX 670 and plays pretty good. I really don't see the stuttering in the loading screens anymore. Not sure why not though. I initially thought that was because I updated the Nvidia drivers, maybe not Except for the long load times, that bugs me. About 2 minutes and 15 seconds to get into the game using resume.
Here is an interesting note:
Skip Certain Cutscenes and Videos
There are certain cutscenes that are unskippable and can be quite a nuisance to watch again and again during the singleplayer mode. In order to address this issue, head to SteamLibrary\SteamApps\common\Call of Duty Advanced Warfare.
Find a file called seoul_load.bik. Before continuing, make sure you have file extension visible through your Windows options (check ‘File name extensions’ under View in Windows 8/8.1).
Create a backup of this file, then delete the original one. Now, create a new empty text file renaming and saving it as seoul_load.bik.
Make sure you use the Save As feature and select type as ‘All Files’.
Once you are done, right click the file, head into Properties, and select ‘Read Only’ so that the file isn’t altered if the game goes through a repair or update.

You would think in 5 years the maps would of gotten bigger but no they got smaller the maps in world of war and black ops 1 where around 3x - 4x the size. This game is like playing Nuke Town but more boring. Yes you have a exoskeleton yes you can jump high but you cant even jump on all buildings unlike titanfall, What i did like the side boost and down boost the rest is not worth the energy it takes to turn my computer on or flash the my hdd down the shitter because this game looks like ass.

I really can't say I disagree with you. I liked it the first day (MP) but grew bored almost immediately. After 5 hours or so of playing and waiting for screen loads.
I don't even play it now. Although I did like SP but that doesn't last long.
Ah well, that's what this was all about... "What Do You Think."
Looks pretty much a loser with this game for most, myself included.
So there goes another $120.00 out the window as I bought 2 copies.
That's twice now, they also got me when I bought Ghosts which was awful, to me.
When will I learn to stop throwing my money away...

Find a file called seoul_load.bik...
I've been telling people that trick in other threads/forums since using it shortly after installing the game. It helps a hell of a lot when you first start playing and tweaking settings because for some insane reason they didn't facilitate adjusting settings outside of gameplay without causing the damn game to restart and replaying the intro cutscene every damn time.

You CAN however do this to any cutscene in game by locating it's file name and using the same procedure. Most people have preloading set to load only after the cutscenes play, to keep them playing as smoothly as possible. So if you've already played through a time or two and want to skip them, just use this trick and instead of loading the cutscene it will immediately start preloading shaders on black screen.

I do find as well that for those on AMD HD7000 series and above, the Cat 14.11.1 beta driver preloads shaders faster.

I disabled the shader pre-load option.

Cinematic are fine and loading is just a few seconds now. Haven't seen any hiccups while playing the game.

What is 'Filmic' anti aliasing option?. lol

Most people have preloading set to load only after the cutscenes play, to keep them playing as smoothly as possible.
I have the opposite problem. Once the loading is completed the cutscene starts severely stuttering and the audio goes so far off sync I honestly can't tell who is saying what. Preloading has to be enabled and has to be set after the cutscene, otherwise when it finishes loading it instantly becomes a garble of pictures and sounds.

Do you have it set to preload only after the cutscene ends though? There's two preload settings. One to preload shaders, one to make sure they preload only after the cutscene ends. That way it shouldn't cause problems with cutscenes.

Strange.

Edit: Extreme hitching now. At the level when you have to use zipline to get off the heli. Have to turn the shader pre-load on. The cinematic option/one is off as default.

Eyes start burning up after a while. Most probably POOPY FOV!. Good thing that there is a built in feature in our head.

God damn pathetic games. Who the hell do they cater with these idiotic FOV options/choice or are they trying to improve performance?. All POOPY games do this. Pathetic FPS?, dont worry, decrease the FOV. VIOLA!.:mad:

or I am wrong and FOV is 90 and it is just my eye sight. HAH!. :peace:

Yes, in fact if I turn off preloading altogether it glitches out the moment the loading is done. With preloading on during the cutscene it plays just fine, again until the loading is done, then it glitches out completely. With preloading after the cutscene it plays without a hitch with the loading bar sitting idly at 50%

Had the exact same problem with BO2 Call of Duty: Ghosts.

Edit: This issue was with Ghosts, not Black Ops 2

With preloading after the cutscene it plays without a hitch with the loading bar sitting idly at 50%

Had the exact same problem with BO2.
So what's the "problem"? You say it plays fine if you let it to preload only AFTER the cutscene plays, like I suggested. Worst you're describing here is a bit slower preloading because it waits until the cutscene is done. It's normal from what I've see that the preloading graph lingers a bit at 50% too, but it's always progressed to load it completely for me. I've also found that Cat 14.11.1 beta speeds up the preloading a bit. It also seems to resist the memory leak symptom some, but only for the 2nd intro cutscene of my session. After that they go out of sync.

Never had this problem with BO2 or any other game.

Either:-

1: Game requires restarting if pre-load off, after a certain period of time or when hitching starts.

2: Poorly designed game which, even at my setup, doesn't think that 2gB of video RAM is fine. Yet FPS is above 60 all the time.

3: Level dependent. Some may work with off, some wont.

Did some reading and AFAIK, FOV is 65. Now that is pure BS.

We cant 'Save and Quit' after the mission is over?. What a pathetic deigns choice. Dumb friging nincompoops. The time that is just wasted watching the whole loading cinematic again just because some idiot thought I wont let them quit at mission end/upgrading part.

Story is pathetic too. CoD truly going in gutter now.

Well, in Blops 2 Ghosts I didn't have a work-around so I was forced to view all the cinematics on youtube. There is no practical problem now except for the extra wait at the end of the cutscene, but there is a fault somewhere and I'd like to know what it is.

Edit: My apologies. I had this problem with Ghosts, not Black Ops 2

Sounds like every other call of duty. You buy it on release, and get bored of it less than week later. I didnt even bother picking up the new one this time around..... actually taking a glance at the game manual made me decide NOT to buy it.
