I started this game today and found that the game would crash repeatedly

After changing loads of settings one by one i ended up lowering the resolution to 1080p and voila all crashes in every mode dissapeared.

The game works with maximum rtx settings and everything on ultra.

I would take a guess that the fault lies in the game .exe and the other resolutions will get patches hopefully soon.

Meanwhile i can continue playing the game.

i only just noticed the stream in obs wasnt set to 1080p and only recorded in a quarter of the space... lol

I've not had any crashes yet so far but RTX features are broken as i'm getting like 60-80 fps at 1440p with all RTX cranked to max on a 3080 it should be "easy" for it judging by their requirements. Also for some reason the game does not "utilise" 99% of my GPU like other games do no matter what I do.
The game runs flawless at 140fps with RTX turned off but still does not utilise the GPU at 99%.

I have one RTX feature turned on and i'm averaging 80-100 fps on campaign and multiplayer so i'll settle for that.

VIRTUALLY ALL OF THE STREAMERS YOU SEE DOING WELL ARE CHEATING!!!!!!!

It took me a while to earn the trust of a couple of players but, as it turns out. They have been using hacks this whole time. Map hacks and health boost, the wallhack with aimbot has to be the worst offending over the top hack i can think of. I'm done with the game for a while at least. The publisher acts like they havnt made money from any of the hacks that have been sold. Anyone who buys the latest version of ID Tech/7 can basically create themselves a few hacks. I would like to say that the publisher has a hand in this, but i have no proof other than it being obvious as the hacks were a multi million pound business. Certain sites have been left to sell these hacks while others are immediately taken down and even sued as a publicity stunt.
I'm one of the people that will not cheat. If you play warzone not cheating will get you so far, but you will never win on a regular basis no matter how good you get.

Most of the streamers you see are all using hacks. Its blatant, but they get thousands of young gullible followers who actually think inhuman reflexes are possible.
Situational awareness does not allow you to see through walls and lock on to players no matter how good you get.

Id steer away from COD games if you want to avoid an exercise in frustration. The game is b@ll@cks...

Same here. no crashing issues with the new game. and cheat complaints on the old game were actually pretty minimal. It just blows my mind how you can go from saying F activision, the publishers/ the devs/ battlenet/ one week and then put money in their pockets the next. Probably same type of person to buy a marked up gpu and then complain about scalpers

You dont know what your talking about. I love cod games but i do not enjoy playing with cheaters. I do well and win without cheating and i have a video on my youtube account where
i record a cheater winning the game for me.
I made it private but i can add it here and make it available if you want.

The criticism is noted, i just dont get it. You think im talking rubbish???? This worked for me, setting 1080p after trying every other setting one at a time.

Sorry man. Your last couple of threads just felt sensationalist. Anyway, I noted I don't have this issue... (as others also have said). Of the thousands of views this thread has garnered in a week, not one person confirmed your problem, nor the solution (yet!). Hopeully it helps someone.

That said, if the 'game .exe' was the problem, wouldn't most (more...) people have this issue? Why can I and at least 3 others play at higher resolutions with similar setups? Do you think this may be something on your end? Perhaps with streaming or something? I'm not trying to be a douche here, but you're awfully presumptive on what the problem is and where without much supporting info. So, I guess I am calling you out a bit here, yes. I hope I am the fool however, and this thread helps the 'thousands' that are having this issue. .

EDIT: ..or your issue is fixed. Tried different drivers? DDU wipe, wipe and DL and reinstall game, etc?

I spent two days messing with drivers and settings. I can make the crashes reappear. They are obviously driver related as all other software runs fine. The driver for my hardware is fine at 1080p and crashes every 5mins on any other res. I googled my error code and found thousands of other people complaining on virtually every related forum. This worked for me so i posted it as a temprary fix for anyone else. This thread would of helped me if someone else had posted it. So i posted it up. So it's driver and not game related it seems? Maybe keep an eye out on the latest Nv driver (currently 457.90) and when the game patches and try again... see what actually 'fixes' it. Anyway, thanks for the info. I'm sure it will help someone. Glad I'm not having these issues. Stupid new game and new GPU issues, lol.

Im not going to feel the performance improvement nearly as much as with the 6900xt. So i cancelled my order for a 3090 like it clearly states in specs....
Hopefully Nvidia will release a titan to compete with the 6900. If they i do i'd be interested in that.

I am going on a week now of owning the game with not a single crash yet in 1440p. I think we can all agree the game(s) should have better anti cheat, but I just don't think cheating is nearly as big of an issue as you make it seem. I had warzone since launch and only encountered a clear-cut no doubt case of cheating maybe 3 or 4 times in over 6 months of playing the game.

I have a friend of a friend who use to play warzone with us quite a bit and he was just utterly terrible at the game. Like I'm talking next level bad the dude barely knew his head from his own ass, The reason i bring him up is because you remind me of him. He use to cry cheater every time he died with for no good reason just cause he got dumped on. 95% of the time we would end up killing whoever the "cheater" was and end up laughing at him. He became so conditioned to accusing people of cheating without evidence and it was really pathetic actually. At least once or twice a night we would hear these cheater accusations against players who were average at best. I think that because he knew cheating was in the game he sub-consciously used it as an excuse in his mind of why he was so terrible. Rather than accepting it and trying to improve or play smarter.

For me personally, you lost me when you said "virtually all good streamers are cheating" this is absolute non-sense. I hope you didn't honestly expect anyone with a brain to agree? And then of course there is the biggest underlying question of all: If cheating is SUCH a problem with the game as of two weeks ago why did you go and give them your money? How is it that you are actively warning people against playing the games while simultaneously forking your money over to them? put your money where your mouth is and maybe people would take you more seriously. Not everyone is cheating most people still have more respect for themselves, i would like to believe. The publisher did not have a hand in creating any cheats and all the streamers are not cheating, this is all crazy talk, you can take the tin foil hat off if you still believe all of that

The game runs kinda crappy across the board. It runs fine for me in the first match, and then I start getting frame drops left and right in every match after that. My roommate gets the same problem. Overall, the game feels like a real step backwards from MW, which ran and played a lot better even early on. The balancing is all over the place (why does the Pellington reliably 1 hit kill but the 50 cal doesn't?) and the maps just feel claustrophobic and very basic. I've gone back to playing MW mostly, specifically back to playing Warzone because it's just an overall better experience.

I have only seen maybe 1 potential cheater in BOCW, and it could have just been him playing really well in that exact moment, because his final K/D wasn't amazing, so either he was a bad cheater or his POTG was just a crazy moment. Saying every major streamer cheats is laughable. That's a sure fire way to get yourself blacklisted and banned. People love dragging streamers that are revealed to be cheaters, so most people that want to stream wouldn't be cheating while doing it.

I do however find it hilarious that someone's willing to go the extra mile to try and make the OP seem like they don't know what they are talking about. If the thread has as many views as it does, it's obviously a problem for several people. For those in here that showed up strictly to downplay the crashing and say "i dont have this problem your system sucks or you're just a liar"... maybe you really don't know everything and you should probably stfu? doubt it'll happen though, them keyboard warrior skills need fine tuned.

If you registered to prove that point you wasted your time. Nobody said it was specifically nvidia's fault. Actually if you go up and read a little more carefully you will see that i have a nvidia card and i havent had any issues (over 24 hours logged now still without a single crash by the way)

I simply commented that I play the same game at the same resolution and hadn't noticed the same issue. Saying the thread has X amount of views so other people must be having the same problem is actually pretty brainless logic. If there are widespread issues of people crashing at 1440p specifically (like the o.p suggested) than i haven't seen any indication of that anywhere.

hypocrisy in a nutshell, you're e-muscles are clearly bigger than everyone else's. Nice of you to add some meaningful feedback on those crashes and maybe some trouble shooting steps that you have tried for anyone else who might have the same problem or the same gpu. At least the o.p attempted to do that which is more than you can say.
