Hello guys. I was wondering if i combine 2 different branded cards on sli, would the work good together? I might buy a PNY gtx 570 and and an EVGA 570. Or even more if the evgs is the SuperClocked edition. Or should i go for x2 evga?

Brand does not matter. The chip does.

Clock speeds don't matter, brand doesn't matter. Matching of frame buffer and model does. UNLESS you have a Lucid Hydra chipset on your motherboard.

Hm. Because i found this pny 570 for around £240 and i think its a really good offer and i wanted the evga sc edition. Should i go for this two? or the sc doesn't worth the money and i should go for a normal one that its obviously cheaper as well like gigabyte or something?

Buy two most cheapest ones as you can get.

That's going to be your personal preference. I am horribly biased towards EVGA and anti-PNY. With that said, I would choose EVGA. Other things to consider, RMA departments and warranties between the 2 companies.

These are reference cards. The hardware of standard vs factory OC'd cards in this instance is identical. Just buy the standard model and OC it yourself.

Normal evga would be my pick... but how much of a price premium is it over the pny?

That's a significant amount less. Like I said previously in account (EVGA over PNY), with what you just said go for the PNY. Odds are if you are a heavy or even a casual gamer the card would serve you well for that time frame. It's pretty much the lifetime of the card. Basically what I am saying, you may end up wanting to switch out the cards within the 3 year time frame anyways. :)

At that price difference would you really choose 7 more years in warranty?

Get the PNY.
