more on topic id again expect a APU from AMD to eventually make its way to consoles in 2013/2014.
All it takes is the liscensing, and every next-gen console will do it. Not all from AMD, but...
The problem is, what are they gonna do for "NextGen" consoles? What's the next selling feature? 1080P w/3D, HD Audio, these are already obviously standards for hte next genreation, based on current products in retail, and the needed processing power to do it, ain't really all that much, by today's PC standards.
I expect the impending launch of Windows 8 is for setting the stage for then next console development platform, but hardware is obviously going to be dated later than that; maybe even just starting development.
I'm just curious what the next hook for these consoles will be...
