All my headphones always break at the tip of the cable, by the 3.5mm jack :(

Get JVC Gumy, at £5 you can break 4 of them and still stay within budget :D Sound quality wise, they are just as bad as the supplied iPod ones. Just use duct tape to reinforce the place where breaks usually happen.
