Recently I bought a new Gigabyte GTX 580 which is factory overclocked to replace my old 5870 . My rig is core i7 870 ( 4.00GHz OC ) , 8 Gig ram, 2 HDD , 1 optical Drive and 7 fans. I never encounter any power related issue so far with my Corsair 550 watt. But now i can see in nvidias site that to smoothly run GTX 580 , i need a minimum of 600W PSU !! I was wondering if i can run this card with my current PSU , that is corsair vx 550 watt ( (+12v @ 41amp) without any trouble ? Please im in a tight budget so i really can use some helpful information . Many sites tell that A gtx 580 can be ran on machine with 550 watt. Hence im confused whether i should buy a new PSU or can keep using my corsair vx 550 ??
