can not uninstall amd CAP

I am on 6850CF, installed the CAP with out deleting the old version. now if I try to delete the old version, win7 64 will go blue screen, is there any way I can remove the old version of CAP.

Maybe "uninstall" the Catalyst install manager? Don't worry it will not be removed but you will be able to uninstall a few (or better, all) software components related to the card. After that and a reboot, install the matter again.

CAP's "stand alone" Catalyst Install Manager won't touch the CAP's but good theory. CAP's will "stack" so if you just keep installing new ones the old ones are still there. But they are like a BIOS in that the newest one contains all the "fixes" of the previous ones so of course only one is necessary. A Bit of an oversight on AMD's part in that respect.

Only thing I can think to try is try running the installer again and see if it A :eek:

Backtrack on it. Uninstall the newest one first then try uninstalling the previous one.

Maybe you could try to use CCleaners delete option. It should work well for the CAP
