I have a gigabyte PCIe geforce 6600 128mb. The thing recently stopped working in a AMD nforce 4 system. I tried it in 2 other systems both AMD based (another nforce 4 and a ati chipset system) with no function there either. The thing is I placed it in my main system which is an Intel P965 (P5B deluxe wifi/ap) and lo and behold it works! I then carried the card to work and put it in a dell dimension 8400 and it works there too. Tell me anyone, what gives? Evidently something is still wrong with the card as it use to function properly but now seems only to work on intel boards. Any info on the cause is greatly appreciated. Thanks much.;)

Failed to mention the motherboard works fine with other cards so the 6600 definitely has an issue. I'm just wondering why it would work in two boards that happen to be intel based and not AMD systems.

AMD is obviously much too sexy for the old card.

Hmm, pbmaster you may be onto something there but I think you are mistaken somewhat. See maybe the geforce 6600 "knew" a E6700 core 2 duo was around and was all too happy to find a way to get into her slot.;) Come on we've all done it before right? I know I have.:D
