Can someone know what cause low single score and high latency?

no idea why I have low single score with dynamic switch or CTR. Even latency is higher than normal. It was 53ms-55ms. Is it window corrupted due to so many BSOD?

Windows being corrupted from unclean reboots doesn't cause that. The RAM is more likely a problem in this case.

Whatever settings you've tweaked have put multi core ahead of single core

IF and ram are 1:1 which is good, and daaaaamn 270W PPT on zen 3? you must have one hell of a cooling setup

Hi,
Memory timings not optimized cause high latency
Get asrock timing configurator version 4.0.3 works well not sure it will work on amd
Then post what it shows the timings are in the os.

AMD has always had high latency 50 and above is normal unfortunately

If vsoc or iod vddg volt is too low this can happend. For instance 1.12V is totally stable at 2000 IF on my setup, 1.10V is also 100% but latency is 3-4ns higher in aida, 1.08V is also stable but I get 10ns higher latency.

A few have noticed lower perf with new chipsetdrivers, updated those lately?

Hi,
tREFI looks low at 14829
Intel usually max it at 65535
tCKE also looks low at 1 instead of 4 as low as I've ever gone.

Wait is this actually stable? If it's not thoroughly stable, then all bets are off because AIDA starts snorting crack when not stable and the sky's the limit.
  • If stable, then that's the first time I've ever seen high speed pure 1T stable without 60 Clkdrvstr.
  • If you're just chasing AIDA scores I don't feel like tRAS needs to be that low.
  • For a daily-able system no point going below 4-4-16-4-8-10 for tRRDS to tWR. Looking at that tWTRS @ 3 there.
  • Never seen odd tRTP before, not saying it can't be done, but tRTP 6 should always work with no problems on high end Bdie. Also some sort of weird bullshit relationship between tRTP and something else, can't remember, best to keep it 6.
I don't like the idea of the "auto OC switcher" because it just sounds like a dumb algorithm that won't respond quickly enough in some benchmarks that the board designers didn't take into account. The CPU-Z test is extremely short, might very well not be triggering, use R23 single-thread to test instead.

I have no frame of reference for R15, but 675 in CPU-Z should fall roughly around 4850MHz effective clock. If that "max" 4960MHz reading on Core 0 was during CPU-Z ST bench, then your settings clearly aren't working very well with the dynamic OC switcher. Go back to your PBO settings alone. Use Cine R23, easier to compare and get an idea of where performance is.

VDDGs are looking okay, VSOC could be a little high, but VDDP is way too high. Drop that down to 0.9V or 0.95V unless it just won't work without touching VDDP.

Don't get too ahead of yourself. Make 14-14-14 work first before you start dropping tRP and tRFC like a stone.

Looks pretty tight.. you shouldn't be thrashing the OS like that, something is not happy. I have had less than 10 BSOD with this rig, and I was brand new to DDR4 and memory tuning in general.

This is what I'm running right now.. trying to keep the fan speed low.. mems get a bit warm at times but warm to me is getting started for someone else.. 35c with 1.45v during TM5 with this fan profile.. yikes lol..

disable virtualization -- hyper V will cause exactly this on some machines. Do you use docker/wsl 2? Try this script, this should allow you to test it quickly - and it will allow hyper v to start back up if you need it. This works on my windows 11 but should still be fine for 10 - they didn't change the name of the service AFAIK.

do you have any ARGB software installed ?

I know I-cue and Dragon center lowered my single core scores by at least 10%.

Dragon center is by msi and icue by corsair correct? Have you tried 1 over the other?

I would bet the reason you're not seeing the latency hit in safe mode is because virtualization based security is disabled...

I used 5 rtp for a long while. From what I read it should be half tWR, so if tWR is 10, then it could work. Rtp is one of the rounded up timings with gdm so on AMD it's rare due to this. Rtp is also used as multiplier for tRFC: tRC x tRTP, but that can be troublesome with 5. I got slightly lower perf with gdm, trtp 6, twr 12 vs 2t and 5/10, but I could lower voltage and got rud of rare errors so worth it on my setup since gdm is great at increasing stability.

I've read on several sources that a good way to set tras is trcdrd+trp, 26 might be a better chouce for him then.

do you have any ARGB software installed ?

I know I-cue and Dragon center lowered my single core scores by at least 10%.
i'm backing demo here up on this, both those softwares are known to cause performance issues on any system thats not all core-OC'd, some versions of them are utter garbage

Post zentimings please.

Edit: If zentimings are the same as last, try the following: vsoc 1.12, ccd 0.94, vddg 1.04, vddp 0.9. Running these timings that high isn't usually required at 1900 IF and steals from the pwr-budget.

You could try flat 14, tras 28, trc 40, trfc 240, see if performance drops?

For comparison I run 4000cl16 flat, 288trfc, gdm on and I get 52.2ns and 60k, 32k, 55k på aida. My ramkit is a shit-bin. I run the voltages described above, but slightly lower on ccd and vddp.
