P.S. Could you plz add an option in the setting menu to enable ATI mobility X1000 Series to overclock???

PLZ.....I would like to boost my VGA RAM!!! :banghead::banghead::banghead:

Nevertheless, If you can't add this...well....I'm going to backup my entire data and burn my laptop and say "see-ya!"

DUMP my stupid laptop!

Is it really that slow? A laptop is not designed solely for the purpose of gaming. Moreover don't make multiple threads about the same issue.

I have a VGA card: ATI mobility X1450 (256Mb).
However, I can't set my VGA memory to 512Mb!! Everytime....again and again, I tried to move the slide bar on the ATI Tool (Memory)....clicked on "Set Clock"....it goes back to default!

Curse you ATI mobility X1450!!! :banghead::banghead::banghead:

Note: Sorry for double posting, I was very annoyed with my A7CC Laptop (Unlimited Version).

Ummm, the memory slider changes the speed of the ram, not the amount. You can't make a 256MB card into a 512MB card.

Thanks for your advice. However, I've made you confuse here.

1.] Instead of Memory....I would like to speed my ram, so, it could be faster...same as the hyper memory speed!

P.S sorry....:banghead::banghead::banghead:

You could try to overclock with ATI Tray Tools instead. That's how I overclock my Mobility X1600.

http://www.guru3d.com/article/atitraytools/189/

I've tried the tools before.
When I tried to overclock my ram....it just pulls itself back to default.

P.S. The tools is good. However, I'll need to take action and design a software which other users can use to unlock their laptop / notebook overclocking controle.

Nevertheless...I'll need a crew member from this forum to take on this project. :D

So...are you going to help me???
I'll start a new forum and post you the link to help out.

Cheers. :toast:

That is it....

I quit this project, and make my own software and use them for my own purpos.

The project is closed!
I'll construct them with Visual Basic 2007 and other software for my own and friends.

I'm off from this forum!!

P.S. Admin.....goodbye......

Do you have proper cooling for your laptop? What is your temps that ATI tool is reading? Is ATi tool reading the temps for that GPU?

Laptop video cards are already hot, and hard to cool. We do have a thread here that is for laptop overclocking.

Did you turn on driver level in ATi Tool? Did you try to type in the numbers and click set instead of moving the slider bars?

Overclocking the memory might not benefit you at all. The one thing you might want to think about ocing is the GPU.

If ATi_Tool doesnt work for you have you thought about dumping your bios and using rabit to edit the bios? You could then flash your GPU on what you want it to be.

For the last time.....:shadedshu

CPU Temp: 38 C
GPU: 38 C > 46 C

I've tried dumping the bios and use rabit to edit the bios.
.....no hope! :banghead:

I never saw your temps......don't be a !@$ about it. I'm trying to help....

Now

So when you type(Not slide the bar) in the GPU clock and hit set. It just goes back?
Which ATi Tool are you using?(not try tools)

Could you not dump the bios?

Did you use rabit 2.2? There are two different ones.

Did you try this tool to dump the bios
http://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/BIOS_Saver.exe

here is rabit 2.2
http://www.techpowerup.com/downloads/283/.html

Did your problem end up being flashing it back to the card?

I've tried what you said. No use at all.....:(

I'm trying to make ATi Tool 0.26 (final) to work with my ATi Mobility X1450
to overclock.

1.] I've tried typing in the number and set clock....it then turned back to default!!
2.] When I tried to slide the bar up and set the clock...same as usual.
