Hi

I have been playing with the idea of replacing my current case with one that has better airflow than my current NZXT H700. I have not been following the case market since i bought this one, so i have no idea where to start looking. It should obviously hold the components listed in my system specs. Window and RGB would be a plus, it would also be nice if the RGB can be controlled by Asus Aura, just to keep the software requirements to a minimum.

My Kraken X72 has some weird issues where the RGB keeps cutting out, i have tried a new USB cable and different USB header on the motherboard without it resolving the issue. I also find the CAM software buggy. Instead of tinkering with it i'm just going to get a new CPU cooler. Could you recommend me one, that can cool my i9 9900K with Multicore Enhancements enabled? I don't have any preferences about AIO or air cooler, it just needs to be able to keep my CPU as cool as possible.

I will be handing my current case and AIO (it still works well, just without the RGB) down to my brother, as he could use them as an upgrade for his system.

I would also like some new RGB fans to go with the case, so it would be awesome if you could recommend me some.

My budget is up to $500, i will search for the components on www.pricerunner.dk and just find the cheapest store with the item in stock.

For the case I also haven't followed the market, but for AIO the Arctic liquid freezer 2 240 or even 280 are really good. They aren't rgb but in my opinion the sleek black finish is really beautiful

Not sure on the case front, but I agree with @WatEagle - the Liquid Freezer II series has great AIO's.
I'd get the 280mm variant, or the 360mm if you can.

I have a 3 of cases on the GN lists. I think the Corsair 4000D is the best overall value. It just checks all the boxes. The Lian Li Mesh II is fantastic and honestly overbuilt. I really like it, but it's really damn bulky for a mid tower. The Phanteks P500 has fantastic airflow, but looks and feels cheap compared to the other 2. The Corsair is the most inexpensive of the 3 cases if you buy it directly through Corsair. Under $95 shipped with readily available 10% off coupon codes.

Regarding AIO's, the Freezer II is a great choice, but I think the EK AIO 360 is a better value with almost identical thermals, a cleaner finish and no funky fan in the block to inevitably get noisy a couple of years down the road. EK also ships directly to your home from Italy in less than 5 business days.

Thank you both for the suggestions, this one was on my list, so it's good to see others recommend it.

Thank you for your thorough reply. The Corsair 4000D does look like a nice case. As does the EK AIO. I will look into some reviews before i make my final decision.

Thanks again everyone for taking your time to reply to me.

Meshify C didn't score well with him, but it can flow a ton of air if you have the means to move it.. its so tiny.

as far as a cooler goes, well I personally don't like AIO units and prefer air cooled. So my suggestion? Deep Cool Assassin III heat sink. And as for how it'll do on your 9900k, well this is how it does with my 10850k clocked at 4.9 GHz/1.285 volts all core running at 100% full load running WCG non-stop for the past 3 days-

temps.jpg

These are better temps than the MSI MAG CORELIQUID 240R AIO unit I tried last December when I bought the 10850k upgrade.

+1
If you need air that is THE case to get

air cage GIF

I currently have the zalman x3 and that thing is a beast for airflow as well (tho not like the lancool):

Takes 3x120 front and 3x140 in the top/rear.... super frosty temps (esp gpu temps) with it. Also the RGB controller is pretty nifty - I was always too lazy to wire my own up so it was nice to get a case with it built in

Well I would recommend the Phanteks Enthoo Pro 2. Pair that with a Silverstone Icegem 280 or 360 and smile as the bling bounces off the glass.. That case also has plenty of RGB (even on the Power button).

I did not expect so many replies, so thank you all for replying.

I will give all the options a good look before i decide. I am moving soon, so it will take some time before i make my final decision.

I will keep an eye on the thread in the mean time.
