i'm gonna download this and install it when I get home. My stuttering stopped, but my temps are the same as they were before, my 4850 never goes about 45c so I couldn't figure out why I was stuttering and artifacting, but it's fine now

No stuttering on my 4850. Using 8.8 (drivers only) and Gainward Expertool to increase my fan speed.

You probably have stuttering because you have a monitoring tool enabled in background reading temperatures from the card while you play. Turn them off, and stuttering is gone. Turn them on, and you get stutters every time sensors get read.

I've confirmed this with GPU-Z and Everest, but others probably do it too..

Oh, and just to add - it's VERY noticable in Vista 64bit, and probably any other Vista as well. XP seems to cover this, as I don't get any noticable frame drops..

These drivers worked WAY better than the 8.8 for me. I was having stability issues with 8.8 playing Warhammer online and with the 8.9, everything is fine.

Thanks for posting these again = )

Do these have the lockup issue that the offical 8.8's have and the 8.7beta's had?

Meaning if you bios mod your card past the overclock limits you will not get into windows, just a black screen of death (and possibly have your cards fan lock at 100%)

The official 8.7's work fine, if I do have to flash my bios back to stock whats the best program to fix my fan speed automatically at boot so I do not forget and cook my cards?

2x Visiontek 4850's
