catalyst refusing to work with any GPU

ok so... AMD's cat decided it wont work with any card, i get the "dont racognize any suitable AMD hardware" error, tried with HD5770, HD6850, HD6870
cat 11.1. tried driver sweeper, nothing :banghead:

what can i do besides installing the whole Fing OS?

clean the pins on the cards (with an eraser) or maybe blow some air in the slot?

This: How To: Reinstall Video Drivers (Quick Guide)

Pay attention to the last part.

Also, go into your appdata folder and delete AMD/ATi folders in the Local and Roaming folders before installing new drivers.

the mobo has 3 PCIE slots (EX58-EXTREME) and the cards are brand new :\ and clean of course.
i get 3D acceleration with Nvidia cards tho...

im really stuck here :[

I also reinstalled the drivers according to the guide, no luck

A friend already had that problem, he installed CAT on stock and it worked (instead of OCed CPU...) he then proceeded to re-OC his CPU and AFAIK everything is fine now.

I doubt this is the problem but cant hurt to try
